Hi Scipio. Desura is similar to Steam -- it calls itself a "community-driven digital distribution service". It has about a million users, and is a good additional channel to Steam, especially given it's focus on indie games and mods.

Desura and Valve both allow us to provide as many free CD Keys as we need to ensure all customers can manage the game using whichever platform they prefer. You'll just need to let us know what your Steam or Desura username and your FracturedEmpire.net Commander name, and we'll send you the required invitation. (You can do this right now for Desura; you'll have to wait until we're greenlit before you can manage the game via Steam, of course.)
