Subject: Tau main, SW allies viable?

With the new rule set being looking at creating a Tau with Space Wolf detachment of allies,
Im just wondering do they bring enough to merit allies,
So far the tau list looks something like this.
Tau Com
Plasma
Twin Missle
MW multi Trac
Iridium Arm
Stimulant
2body guards
plasma
twin missle
Hw multi Trac
3 Battlesuits
Twin Missles
BSF
3 Battlesuits
Twin Missles
BSF
10 Firewarriors
Devilfish
dpod
10 Kroot
2 Tetras with +1bs
2 Plasmaheads (FW)
dpods
multi trac
burst cannons
1 Railhead
dpods
multi trac
burst cannons
Thinking can bring some CC specialists, or more firepower, or some sacrificial unit of terms in DP to hold my opponent for turn or 2 and allow me more pew pew for my buck.
thoughts?
*Before any1 says, yes no Broadsides, their viability is reduced by the amount of arm active in the meta, and tau tanks now have 3+ cover if moved and shot out of 12", making them much more viable*
Sorry should have mentioned looking at 1750 and 2k lists.

first off no to the bodyguards, grab another squad of crisis and just make them deathrains...
This is standard advice and even applies more here. Reason being is if you do go SW make sure you grab the full 20 marines and get CHEAPER plasma there. no need to have bodyguards just to get a twin linked MP and have plasma in your list.
Also, Drop pods and an ADL will help out. ADL will hide your x2 FW squads or one of them on an objective/give early cover to hammerheads.
No to kroot, espeically with allies, just no. Look to your allies for troops with mobility aka drop pod/rhinos/flyers when allying with tau as primary.
Kroot role as an outflanker/infiltrater should be replaced with way more dangerous targets, like a 10 man tac with plasma. Even in standard tau lists I will and have argued that stealthsuits acomplish the kroot role 100 x better in this edition.
The Range of FWs allow them to "get in the fight" more while holding an obective when properly supoorted also. Devilfish with allies not really needed.
Also Regular SM with combat squading can give you more troops if that's what you may be afraid of.
My overall point is don't limit your tau choices untill you decide on the allies and what they can bring.. Personally I think SW, Necrons, or Chaos Marines are overall the best choices.

One, I question the wisdom of Deathrains at all. In my local meta, Rhinos & Razors have disappeared. The FLG store's used model display case has half a dozen dreadnoughts in it. It seems as though low-level (AV11) anti-Tank isn't needed. If it is a matter of dealing with fliers, then STR7 won't really do against Vendettas & SRGs.
I'd spend points on FireStorms and FireKnives.

Save points on the BSF, and lose 'em. It does nothing for range, and, again there ought to be so few vehicles, that the Turn 1 NightFight negation that BSF provides is near worthless.
Find points for a GD and a Shield Drone.
And the gun to go with it?
The SW look fine.

Elves? Emo elves? Oh, yes, spam those Deathrains; caveat - have just one XV8 with a BSF (because he gives its ability to the whole unit) and then have flamers for the other two ... wyches abhor assaults against flamer armed units. That is the one Scissors (you) - Paper ( DE) match up that Deathrains are essential for.
