Which is the best and your favourite spell/magic item?

I think the best spell is probably birona's timewarp, my favourite is by far transformation of kadon. In terms of magic items probably my favourite is third eye of tzeetch as its fun to have a chaos wizard using 2 different lores at once, power wise (for cost) probably the torment blade or fozzriks floating fortress.
What's your opinion?

Best spell is probably Mindrazor, just because combat is where games can be won/lost big and turned around completely, and MIndrazor just turns combats into a one-way walkover. In a similar fashion, I'd have to put Wildform up there as also one of the best- it's cheap to cast, you're guaranteed to get it and in a fair few situations it has a very similar effect to Mindrazor (the major difference is that it doesn't obliterate armour in the same way).

Best item in the game points for points is difficult, I'd be inclined to say the Stabby Dagger. It's cheap (25pts), Dark Elves have easy access to cheap core bodies who boost the ld of the general and they also have access to some of the best magic lores in the game (Shadow and Death).

But you have to charge, THEN hope it goes off, then if you don't break the enemy they'll dispell it the very next turn and slaughter your wizard. I'd only ever take it if I had a lvl 1 and had something that let me pick his spell.

Oh yeah, against the right thing it's a blender.

Only time someone used it against me I was playing Dark Elves, though. Frenzied Witch Elves killed it before it could even attack once. Was not pretty

On topic, my favourite magic item is the Pendant of Khaeleth from the Dark Elf armoury. It's so cheap and gives such an amazing ward save (roll equal to or under the attacks strength, 6 always fails), I usually have my level 4 sorceress equipped with it in case of miscasts. "Oh I take a S10 hit? Only 1 in 6 chance of actually hurting me once it wounds me"

Alternatively the infamous unkillable Dreadlord build of the Pendant, Armour of Midnight (1+ save) and Crown of Command. Low strength attacks bounce off the armour and high strength attacks bounce off the pendant.

Yeah the pendant of khaeleth is widly referred to as to powerful for it's low points cost.

I say Birona's because it effectively allows you to repeat one phase of the game with your army. Great for wood elves or an empire gun line.

Wand of Wych Elm is an absolute life saver for wood elves. without it it would be impossible to win some games, which is hard enough already.

I personally like the Pit of Shades (the one with the large template and all have to make a toughness or initiative, can't remember and dont have book on me atm) from the Lore of Shadows because it just is amazing against low toughness hoards (Night Gobbos, Empire etc.)
Favourite magic item has got to be one of the Dwarfs own Rune of Alaric the Mad. I love it because when parred with a Daemon Slayer with 2x Rune of fury (+2 A) they can kill almost anything with an awsome toughness save and other good stats.
Or now that I think about it, from Storm of Magic there's a sword that will instantly slain the user but delivers a S8 Heroic Killing Blow on the enemy model! I love that one as well (Seeing my low point Goblin Warboss attack a heroic model and slain it instantly is just priceless on the peoples faces!)

Just throwing it out there, the Sword of Swift Striking.

Quickblood and Red Fury are brilliant on a vampire lord but you can't take both on a hero, but you get the same effect with the SoSS + RF.

My favourite spell is probably Soul Stealer from Dark Magic.

S2 hits on every model in the target unit with no armour saves allowed, all unsaved wounds increase the casters wounds by 1 up to double their base number, casts on a 10. This thing is my go to for taking out hordes, which are typically T3, especially if I can combo it with the Shadow spell which reduces toughness (Withering?).

Only real downside is low range but that's why I often take a Focus Familiar on my Dark Magic Sorceress for an extra boost to that.

Favourite Spell: Chillwind from the DE lore. This spell is BRUTAL oh you there you got a horde of TK archers BAM you took a casualty and cant shoot til my next magic phase
Favourite Item: Tome of Furion: 15 points for a extra spell? YES PLEASE

Best Spell: Fireball who dosent love chucking around balls of fire :p

Best Item: Master Of Sorcery: its a daemonic gift which gives you lore master and its cheap to boot

Favourite spell: Wyssans wildform. Just started Beastmen and i didn't realise how much fun the lore of beasts was.
Favourite item: Battle axe of the last WAAGH, Pricey but good fun.

Best spell: Dwellers, such a powerfull spell.
Best item: Cupped hands of the old ones.

Does the Rune of Balance count? Stealing a power dice can turn things around pretty quick.
