For this 25 point list I wanted to try one of Ret's casters that really put out the hurt - Ravyn's the girl that you want, not the girl that you need. Sorry Kae.

I think that with the Sentinels and the arcanist, there is going to be a much better focus distribution. I know that having a big jack and a smaller jack is going to take up a bit of focus, but considering that the sentinels are 'Jack Commanders, i'm able to get a free charge or boost a damage/attack roll for free.

Sylys is a good choice here too, because he's two points and with Ravyn's abilities, having a chance to have a free upkeep is awesome (Snipe/Cloud/ExtraD6InMeleeRangeBuffNameICantRemember..)

I'm really open to suggestions about the Griffon - He's one of the better models for the point cost, but he might turn into something that isn't utilized by the lack of focus.

Honestly? I think it's a bad list for Ravyn, you really aren't maximizing her strengths at all.

Ravyn with no MHSF? What is wrong with you?! Seriously, though, MHSF+UA are pretty much mandatory with Ravyn. They synergize ridiculously well together.

Agreed with the above, though. Ravyn is a focus hog. She loves keeping it for herself. I'd only take one heavy jack with her....two at the absolute most. Personal preference for me is Discordia, but I also like the Manticore.

I'm not sure Sylys is giving you much at all. Upkeeping Vortex/Snipe is nice, but she really doesn't need the bonus range and something is going horribly wrong if you are using her offensive spells. I really don't think he's useful on Ravyn.

Sentinels are also weird on Ravyn. She buffs ranged units so I'd stick with Invictors if you take Dawnguard units.

Stormfalls are great and the arcanist is nice for one point.


I hate to completely re-write someone else's list, but as I said....I think it's a bad list for Ravyn. Here are two routes that I've usually gone:

I would even Throw in a hydra as a heavy Warjack. Throw three focus on him and forget about him for a turn since he retains it. Plus with snipe... his cannon is now RNG 19 POW 15... ow!
