Hey!

I have had a lot if problems using Army painters sprays. I have kinda tried it all and I'm giving up soon. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Today I used the anti shine in my newly painted Hive Tyrant and my brothers Avatar. Temperature in room 17 degrees and humidity 40%. I shaked the can for 3-4 minutes. My army painter quick shade had been drying for 3 days. I tryed to apply as thin layer of anti shine as possible, but all over the models there is cracks in the anti shine. While I was spraying the can also acted strange. It kept on throwing out air even tho I wasn't using it.

Please help me out, because I have tried it all

Cracks sounds like the lacquer isn't dry. Oil based stuff can take months until it's dry enough to paint over.

I've almost entirely stopped using matte spray (the normal name for "anti shine" type sprays) They're tempermental. I now use brush on artists matte varnish watered down a bit. I thing Golden was the brand I was using, but I'm, sure that every country has a similar product in their art supply shops.

It applies quickly, cuts the shine, dries fast and is easy to reapply if you miss a spot. It's not going to be as durable as a polyurethane spray, but like you, I'm dipping my minis, so they're already covered in polyurethane and are already well protected.
