When I buy a bastion what weapons on it can be manually fired?

Where do my people have to stand in order to fire sead guns?

What happens with the people on top of the building when it gets shot?

Do the guns that are not manned fire at separate targets?

If a dark reaper eachark is manning one of the guns, can he use fast shot and get two shots with the lascannon?

All of them

To fire the lascannon / quadgun, as per the ruels for those bought weapons you have to be in base to base contact to fire them. FOr the heavybolters built into the main part of the bastion you just need to be embarked in the building

Unless they are targetted directly, the battlements are a separate section and so they are not affected by the damage results of the bastion-main EXCEPT if the bastion is destroyed....

Only those guns that can fire at BS2, that is to say the heavy bolters

THis was asked recently. Do the exarchs rules specify it only works on HIS weapons?

Unless you are playing Nids. Then none of them...

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Thanks a lott.

As a dyslextic I am having trouble keeping emplaced weapons and weapon emplacements apart. Both conjure up a picture of a gun mount in the brain but I do not know if there are diferrent? I am comfused.

So I would need to have 2 different units. One on top shooting the lascannon. One inside to boost the heavy bolters from BS2 to 4.

So the battlement is a seperate section, can they shoot the battlement as it was an AV14 building or is it just "terain" behind an 4+ cover save wall?

And since allieces cannot use your transports, can allied dark reapers stand on top of the battlement and venom trueborn or wrack be inside manning the heavy bolters?

Also, when manning the heavy bolters can I choose to man just two of them and have the others shoot at seperet targets at BS2? (I have 4 models inside, but manning them is optional?)

I am sorry to ask a thing that was asked reasently, I am just trying to wrap my brain around this. I have read the rules for buildings but I just end up confused.

There is a difference - a Gun emplacement has different rules to an Emplaced Gun.. Annoyingly this is what GW has chosen to call the....

On your needing two squads - yes, if you want to shoot the guns inside at BS4, stick a unit inside. That then allows people to shoot at your bastion....

A battlement is not the building, so you shoot the people on top as if it were just any other wall, providing 4+ cover (GW FAQ'd this to make it clear)

A building is a transport vehicle belonging to eitehr the main army or the ally, so either can embark the building.

Manning them is, I believe, optional, so you can either fire them yourself or let them fire at BS2

Dont worry - the rules for buildings ARE confusing, as they are a horrid mash-up of differing rules and exceptions. Better than 5th edition, just about.

See Automated Fire on page 96. It explains what happens with guns not being fired by your unit.
