I've gotten a little obssessed with the exterminatus...
Would anyone be up for exterminuts or the chaos unleashed expansion at some point over the weekend?

I'd also like to get some people onto the death match as a team. Last time I went on, the other team was made entirely of lvl 41 players all in one big group.
I still killed more than I died, but I want to win

Would anyone want to do either deathmatch or exterminatus?

Also, what would be your favourite SM load out? and why?
Personally, I go for an assault marine with a power sword. I can't kill the big black ork nobs or csm's with demon mauls without room to jump about and shoot them, but I roll over everything else on the game.

ps. I tried searching for 'space marine' to see if this had been done before. Searching for space marine on a website dedicated to tt games =

On Exterminatus I rock a Melta gun with Larramans Blessing and Additional Melta Fuel.

Against other Peeps Bolter with Targeter and Kraken Rounds all the way.

Nope but I do have Dreadnought Assault.

It would be great if there were a few other PS3 players on dakka with the DLC and we could rock some of the new awesome maps. I am pretty bored of the same 5 in regular rotation.

I have dreadnaught assualt - if we could get enough to actually play dreadnaught assault, I think I'd actually explode.

I've never played it - I've never even seen a game going online.
£7 ish well spent so far.

It is a shame, it's actually a lot of fun. You could play a 2v2 on the maps if we managed to get that many people but you wouldn't want to play 2v2 with the Dreadnought, that things a beast

I have a PS3 as well and i'd love to get SM. Getting internet might be a problem, but if I do, I'll tag you as well.

If you get Playstation plus, the game is free, but you need the internet for that.

You could, if there were 3 people, set the game to a 2v1, and the 1 gets to be the Dreadnought rather than playing it properly. That would be tough but doable. You wouldn't want a 1v1 against a dreadnought, or would you hmm ...

I've fought the ork dreads on chaos unleashed, they were a pain but I could still kill them.

Yup, was fun getting it but I don't use the Meltagun really in anything other than Exterminatus now as it's one of ... those... weapons I feel. It only comes out when there is an abundance of stupid Jump Pack on a map, even then I give up with it after awhile as most have Combat Stimulants, Zeal and Impenetrable and it doesn't make a difference.

I won't use either unless I'm messing about in exterminatus. Although if I mean business on there it's plasma/melta + Larramans.
I do jump pack a lot on deathmatch, but I don't go for the hammer. Power sword +plasma pistol all the way

Hammer and KIlling blow is easy, jumpouttadaway, It's when the lag hits and they have the 20 feet long Noobstick that kills me.
With so the Melta it's not the gun, it's the way people use it. The guys who hide behind walls and pop out eeuuggghhh, drive me insane.

About 85% of the time, it's Kraken and Targeter for me. I play Raptor rarely, but it just shouldn't be there if you ask me. I like the Heavy Bolter, but I mainly play tactical marine.

I usually play SM Multiplayer on a different account than everything else because the game had an in-built age lock for multiplayer... and while I'm now old enough to play it on my own, I put a lot of work into where I am now.

My time is UTC + 10.

My I usually play as a tactical marine with stalker bolter or melta gun w/ storm bolter. But I will play as a devastator or assault marine if need be.

I have no DLC.

Yep, leap out meltacide is damn annoying. Hammer + Killing blow tends to work on me once.

Another thing I find annoying are the devs who just tuck in, out of LOS. That only tends to work once too though.

Lag is funny. If I didn't laugh I'd cry. Jump...then 2 seconds later just fall out of the sky dead.Cos the last guy actually killed me, I just didn't notice...

You can be the bestest dread - I just want to see one and I'll be happy. That and I'm up for the challenge of taking one down

I'll have be around about the same time tonight. The misses watches Eastenders and Corrie so I have to pass the TV over to her then or I won't get fed.

I was at that stage once, and dreams were of Space Marines with Boltrounds in their heads, but thankfully I have got past that .. just about at least.

I don't think I have played a game where it has made so much in it though. You can have 5 green but because there is one guy with a red you can empty a whole clip into someone, not have them die and then Melta you in the face. Connection never seems to do me any favours, even when it's good or bad, people still get more use of it rather than me. Boo Hoo

Cool, you just said you didn't have any of the DLC that's all

I play SM multiplayer under the name "kadetking"

I may, at one point also play on the account "egytomb", but that's only if I every want to restart multiplayer from the very beginning.

My dad also uses "kadetking", but he is hardly ever on the PS3, and never on SM

And, yeah, I don't own any DLC.

Don't play often enough to justify it, though that can change if I get more interested in SM

Yeah - it crashes too much as well. Which always seems to be when I'm in the thick of it, on exterminatus at about lvl 19 of 21.
I've also had games in deathmatch where the whole enemy team has frozen.

But for some reason I'm still addicted...


I've got all the dlc.
Kill Team was fun and gave me the power sword.

IMO Chaos Unleashed is the best exterminatus - I like being chaos and killing many ultramarines - it also adds guard vs orks on every level too, so it ends up as a three way battle.
And at the end, you get to fight about 9 Ork dreads.
