Basically a mate of mine came up with the idea of getting a Land Raider Crusader and putting Logan Grimnar/Ragnar Blackmane (either one), a WG in termi armour(to take LR as a dedicated transport), a Wolf Priest with Saga of the Hunter and a unit of GH inside. Then taking that whole thing, outflanking an opponent and assaulting down the assault ramp with it. Now outside of the insane amount of points that this single unit would cost, I pointed out the fact that there are three independent characters (I want to say that the WG in TDA is an IC but I don't have a BRB on hand to check) in that squad and I wasn't sure that was allowed but again no rulebook to check. Is this allowed? Because I'd definitely want to give it a go for a fun army.

There is no limit on the number of IC's allowed to join an unit.

The wolf guard is not an independent character, so the grey hunters would not be able to start in a dedicated transport bought for the wolf guard.

There is no limit on the amount of independent characters that may be attached to a unit though.

You can attach the greyhunter to the WG and put them in a Land raider.
Wg are not IC's they can be split from their unit and attached to a many few unit choices. No reason not to be able to put the unit he joins in the same transport for the elite Unique/even though he's a single model......... slot in would take up in the FOC.
Unit sounds kinda ridiculous though IMO as a SW player,

The ICs joining the Wolf Guard in the LR is allowed. The Grey Hunters can't begin the game in the Land Raider - it's the WG's dedicated Transport.

The reason is that a unit can't start the game in another unit's dedicated transport. The LR was purchased for the Wolf Guard unit. The WG, once he is joined to the Hunters, is no longer a member of that unit... he's a part of the Grey Hunter unit.

Cheers like I said I don't have a rulebook so I couldn't really check but could I change the GH for a squad of WG instead?

Trust me I know it is lol, I'd never put this in a serious army but I'd do it for fun just for the heck of it.

Logan makes the wg trooos so just take a squad of wg in a lr

"Listen closely Brothers, for my life's breath is all but spent. There shall come a time far from now when our Chapter itself is dying, even as I am now dying, and our foes shall gather to destroy us. Then my children, I shall listen for your call in whatever realm of death holds me, and come I shall, no matter what the laws of life and death forbid. At the end I will be there. For the final battle. For the Wolftime."Leman Russ
