So I'm participating in an Leauge that our gaming society has one up with and we can purchase upgrades you will see.

this list has won me 4 games already and is very effective against Daemons

For 10pts I gave my units Preferred Enemy (Everything!)
For 10pts I took a trait where my outflanking units come in turn 1!


So now here's my list
HQ:
Overlord
-warscythe
-Mindshackle Scarabs
-Sempermental Weave

Troop:
10 Immortals

FAst attack:
3 Canoptek Wraiths

Total is 500pts

my 10 Immortals and OL will outflank turn 1 and suprise attack in thier own deployment if everything goes as planned I will have Line Breaker and first blood VP all ready

What do you think?

2+ armor may cause issues, your only way to kill termies reliably is via warscythe, drop the tessaract labyrinth, and grab mindshackle scarabs, they are far more reliable.
With your leftover points, maybe give your overlord 2+ armor to soak shots for the immortals

Updated now a warrior wall list since all gauss glances on a 6 I should be able to glance anything to death before it destroys too many Crons

@ skoffs its actually just Preferred Enemy but we can change it from battle to battle so basically yes its Everything! the only time that would be difficult is if you do a 2v2 and the opponent has diff armies but we advance 100pts every 2 weeks so when we get up to 600pts the first units thats going in are the deathmarks then destroyers who have PE: Everything! no matter what

Okay, so the Hunters from Hyperspace rule let's Deathmarks wound the marked enemy unit on a 2+, right?
With Preferred Enemy, they reroll the 1s... this means (practically) auto wounding.
(I tried attaching a Destroyer Lord to my Death & Despair squad for just this purpose. it was expensive as all hell, but my god, it obliterated anything I pointed it at).

If you do add the Deathmarks, for the love of god, MAKE SURE YOU GIVE THEM A DESPAIR-TEK (auto-hit AP1 flame template that practically auto-wounds? you'd have to be insane to pass that up!)

Only problem is you will also have to take a night scythe as well to deliver the Deathmarks and Despair-tek as they cant deep strike with the Despair-tek attached to the squad. Worth every point though as anything that flamer touches will die.

Well, you COULD just give the Despair-tek a Veil of Darkness for 30 points to allow the unit to deep strike (FAQ cleared that up), but really it's not worth the hassle of dealing with scatter/mishaps, so the Nightscythe really is the best method of insertion if you have the points for it.

Oh you guys might like this for an additional 5pts to the base cost of the weapon my Overlord can take any war gear availble so I could give him Tek gear but that would make him a huge target and if I lost him I would lose a large part of my army

Top choices would be:
1- Chronometron
2- Lightning Field
3- Seismic crucible
4- Gaze of Flame

3 Scarab bases to act as a shield for the Overlord warrior squad

I would drop the scarabs, three bases won't do much
Grab Sempiternal Weave on the OL
Then i'd grab a lancetek at 35 pts to give your second warrior squad a str 8 ap 2 36 inch shot that can help with MC's and terminators.
Should Break even at about 500 points
