Im workin on my BT army, ive seen some people posting about ADL, is it worth it to have it in my arsenal? and how exactly is it used in a battle.

Also,

I bought a Rhino and a Razorback, what is your loadout for these for weaponry/add ons. ALso is it worth it to buy and magnetize the upgrade spreu for the rhino to razorback conversion?
my BT will eventually be a 2000p list.

Yes.

For placing cover where you need it. It can also be cheap AA if your army lacks it.

Yes.

Unless your made of money or want to limit your choices, you always want to give yourself as many options as possible. Then you can select what gear/weapons works best for you and your playstyle. Your choice might depend on points as well, as why spend alot of points on a vehicle that will not last very long if the enemy wants it dead. Go bare minimum and then go from there.

With units like heldrakes becoming standard, what about using a bastion to protect infantry instead?

I wouldn't say a bastion "Protects" infantry from a heldrake. If the flamer template hits a fire point the unit inside takes 1d6 hits from the weapon at the weapons profile. The building is also hit if the armor has been reduced enough for the heldrake to do something to it.

I need to return some video tapes.
