In the rules for characters it talks about them being able to make precision shots (wounds allocated to the model of their choice) on a roll of a 6 to hit. Would this also include overwatch? Pretty sure the answer is "yes" just wanted to see if I understand it right.

Yes, so any hits a character got on overwatch(that arn't template weapons) will be precision shots as well. The same with anything that only triggers on rolls of 6s to hit(like Tesla getting 2 extra hits on a 6)

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

No. The Overwatch rules state explicitly that you can't make Precision Shots in Overwatch.

Wow, totally missed that. Everyone here has been playing that wrong.

Yeah it also applies for weapons that scatter or don't roll to hit, which I'm not sure how that would work for the extra Tesla hits?

It would definitly still work for Tesla IMO. Snap Shots still roll to hit and Tesla activates on rolls of 6 to hit. Unless there is an FAQ forbidding it specifically.

Can they be used for precision under normal circumstances as well?

No reason why not, that I can see - however can any necron characters get tesla?
