Hello,

I have a question. Is it against the rules (we are playing plain WH40k 6ed rules) to use Space Marines Drop Pod miniature for Dreadnought?
I mean, do I have to use http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Space_Marines/Space-Marine-Support/DREADNOUGHT-DROP-POD.html this one?

Regards

A drop pod is a drop pod is a drop pod. It can carry a certain number of models, or a single dreadnought.

Dreadnoughts can take a DP as a DT.

If we wanted to be compeltely fluffy, you would assemble the pod without the central harness system to make a proper dreadnought pod. But there is no rule requirement for this.

The only restriction is that Bjorn from codex space wolves cannot take a GW Drop pod. All other dreads are fine

I'd love to have FW Dreadnought Drop Pod anyway, but it's kinda expensive

Cheers

This is not true. The Forge World model is the Lucius-pattern drop pod, a separate unit with special rules. The model is significantly larger than the standard plastic drop pod, so you can NOT use it as one.

Normal codex dread pods are just the standard plastic kit.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
