Hence the WIP!

I tend to base my whole force at once, I have a couple terms to finish still.

The only other thing that I could see that it's missing, you could add some more purple into the fleshy parts, add a bit more of your third colour in there, should make the skin pop a little more.

I should say, other than that it's a pretty bad ass looking model

And looking at it a little closer, the left hoof(?) is raised which looks slightly strange?

I will add more purple, thank you!

It is a metal model, the only way it would glue was if it was like that, I am just gonna throw a stone under there when I base it

Couple suggestions!

Dont know how much more your looking to do or where your at wip wise but,

Do a wash on the teeth

Do the bone whip a different color than the exoskeleton

*Add highlighting/blending/pattern to the carapace*

Do some highlights/blending/patterning on exoskeleton

Hit some more of the details with a contrast on the exoskeleton, orange contrasts well with blue. It doesnt have to be a crazy bright orange, maybe a subtle burnt cream orange =p

Good luck!

I will hit the teeth, I do play a horde Nid force. So speed is key in painting.

I go for a 5 foot paint job , lazy I know, but with my work schedule I only have so much time to paint. Thank you for the extra suggestions though!

it seems your into drybrushing and washing... so i suggest you drybrush a lighter color over the fleshy bits

Hahaha no im in the same boat man! Always workin and maybe a weekend here and there to paint.

For my basic guys I base coat with main color, do a wash, hit the details like 3 different colors and then wash them and done!

But for ic's and and mc's I like to give a little more love! An easy way to do carapace is just lighten the blue with a little white and do some verticle streaking on the edges, pretty quick and dirty

Horde would be different though so I understand, im doing grey knights right now so I have quite a few less models hahaha.

Suggestion for technique since your looking for speed.

Base color, drybrush highlight color, paint lash whip to match his tongue. Paint teeth white, spray gloss varnish.

Use splash on method with Minwax polyshades Antique Walnut. Let dry overnight, spray matte varnish. Do some simple line highlight on everything. If you happy with the result spray matte varnish 1 more time, then base.
