If you're doing something bigger, there are ways now of teleporting things between dimensions automatically- heck, with the way Nether portals work now (I think that update's part of the FtB modpack) you could possibly just chuck stuff into a regular portal and have obby pipes suck them up on the other side.

And biomes vary in size hugely...
Why not just give an actual value for how big this place will be?

Yeah, if stuff breaks because of the wrong tool, then I would say that it's your fault.

Pimp, are you sure about the size of that thing? I mean, look at my spaceship on the tekkit server, and the amount of time invested in that just to get it to that stage.
One thing to keep in mind. do you have the resources, and the manpower, to build that?

So yeah- every time I log on now, I spawn in the Nether, outside the Nexus, high enough that I fall to my death. However, I spawn without anything on or in my inventory- I think this time I may have lost my Lexicon and a bunch of Tin and/or silver.
I'm gonna need that fixed.

Earlier you asked for a roll back due to your death from lag, so I rolled your inventory back to before you died. You've only logged on once this evening and didn't hang around long enough for me to even reply to you (you were online for slightly longer than 1 minute). You did not die, please don't make things up for drama.

About ten minutes ago (2am) there was a server reset and a chunk (around -270, -730 in the twilight forest) appears to have not loaded properly... as a result we lost a quarry and an electrical engine.

To build on what happened:
It might not have been a chunk error. For some reason an area of blocks above the dirt in a 15x16 (don't ask why 15x16, we don't know, but a chunk is 16x16x256) square (except one tree, oddly enough, which was part of the squad but, like the dirt blocks and everything beneath them, was not affected) simply vanished. It's not a world hole, since the dirt is still there and firm, but the leaves and trees in that square have vanished, as has a platform on which there was a linkbook, a quarry, an electrical engine and 2 hybrid solar panels. You can see the remnants of the platform that were not in the area affected, which comprise of a few plank blocks (one plank block has been used to pin-point one of the corners of the square, and was placed after the incident) upon which are 4 hybrid solar panels.
It was not an explosion. Not only do electrical engines not explode, but the exact same set-up was used without fault in the mining age (and was sat in the mining age almost since day 1) and the quarry completed without incident.
Up until the server restart, everything was working fine.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.
"You need not fear us, unless you are a dark heart, a vile one who preys on the innocent; I promise, you can’t hide forever in the empty darkness, for we will hunt you down like the animals you are, and pull you into the very bowels of hell." Iron - Within Temptation

??? Sorry, but when I logged on, I logged on to a Death Screen, in the Nether, having fallen to my death. It didn't show the death message.
I did not have any inventory at all. I have not seen any of my items for days.
I didn't lose my items due to lag. I lost them because they weren't in my inventory when I logged on, and fell to my death in the Nether, outside the Nexus.
Last time I had them, a few days ago, I was working near 0,0, cobbling in the ocean. It was extremely laggy, so I logged off and logged back to see if that would fix it. It was still laggy, and for whatever reason, chunks were loading very slowly and I was unable to affect the world at all- this included being unable to chat- I'd push 't' but nothing would happen. So I attempted to use the Nether Portal that was set up nearby. The portal did not work. I logged off.
The next time I logged on, I spawned in the air, in the Nether, outside the Nexus. I had no items in my inventory, and fell to my death. I respawned next to my bed in the Overworld.
I went back to the Nether, found where I'd died. There were no items on the ground (unsurprising, since I spawned without an inventory). I logged off after doing some stuff, with things in my inventory.
Today, I logged on, spawned in the Nether, watched myself fall to my death, hit the respawn, didn't see a death message, had no items in my inventory when I spawned, before I fell and respawned at my bed.
It's not Lag related, it's some sort of odd spawn bug.
Sorry I didn't stick around- I think when I logged on I saw you log off.

There seems to be a bug involving a conflict between the Quarry's chunk loading and the EnderChest, which specifically occurs in the Twilight Forest. The suggested solution seems to be to use Item Tesseracts instead of Enderchests (or loads of storage chests/barrels in the Twilight Forest instead). I'll replace the machines you lost this evening.
Anvildude, I'll take our discussion to PMs, because it sounds like I simply missed the correct rollback point, but there's also a few things that don't add up from what you've said.
@Corpsesarefun
I have at least one item tesseract that I don't plan on using. You're more than welcome to it.
@AsherianCommand
I have linking books up and running now, we can do that silverwood trade.
