What's the Triarrii? Last I remember, it's called the Accords. That's what Anvildude calls it, and he seems to be doing the grunt work.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be going very far- it was meant as a group of players who, on the server, focus on magic to the exclusion of the Tech mods- no IC, no Redpower, no Buildcraft, no Railcraft, no Factorization etc. etc (Xycraft's fine, because I still don't consider it a 'tech' mod- too much glowy- and the low-tech stuff from other mods- saws and microblocks from Redpower, or the Quartz Grindstone from Applied Energistics or Wrath stuff from Factorization)

In doing so, we were going to have the knowledge and wherewithal to provide mystic services to everyone- help police the Aura, take care of Wisp problems, moving and expanding and purifying Nodes, provide facilities and training for people interested in different aspects of Magery...

But most of the 'members' are too enamored by the lure of machinery and the labor-saving they provide to stick with magic. Even Pimpdidley (Dark Apostle) , the one who had the idea, is running around in power armour now.


However, if you're interested in swearing off technology for the more mystical side of things (we have Golems!) feel free to drop by 0,0, where the Turris Caeruleus is being built (Blue Tower- what will be the hub of the Overworld Accords). I hang out around there, building, designing and whatnot.

I would like to take this chance to inquire about the possibility to be the one who sorts out trans-player group ideals. eg, i have both the Tech, and the Magic, as I think this might help add to the whole community of the Server, rather than the rift between Magic and Machine that we have currently

I quite like the way it is now, it adds a bit of rivalry and competitive edge that gives us all a force pushing us to achieve over the other, in many ways, both combat resource wise, at the moment magic is grumpily in the combat edge and possibly resource due to the abilities of the arcane bore

I admired the sentiment, but I never saw the Accords working. Not least because technology makes up the greater part of the modpack, and saves time and resources to say the least.

Why have the division though? "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

Gonna make my stance on the issue clear now: I don;t like the need to belong to either Mage or Scientist. I think it;s a stupid idea. The reason I've not looked into the magical mods is due to my massive dislike of Thaumcraft.

I'm part of the accord, but I still dislike this division thing we have going. I only joined because you wanted a bee keeper, but if I have to stop using science then I'll leave. Bees are annoying without the machines extrabees adds

Nah. Quarries and frame-based miners still have us beat for pure mining power- though our Hand-Mining tools are better (Pickaxe of the Core, Shovel of the Earthmover and Wand of Excavation). We're better in regards to farming, though Tech has better tree-systems. I'm just waiting for Aspects to become a Forge Liquid, so we can store them in Xycraft tanks and use Ender tanks to transport them (or if Thaumcraft 3 will get some of the TC2 functionality back)

We have better weaponry, tech has better armour.

Magic, however, is better for resource conversion- we got the Minium stones, and Transmutation allows us to create massive amounts of different metals that Tech heads need.

Magic can build, relatively easily, impenetrable structures- Tech can only match us with MFFS systems, which are incredibly expensive for what they do- the first floor of the Tower, and probably the whole thing, eventually, is pretty much EVERYTHING-proof.

Sorting Systems are tied- Golem-based sorting has a simpler, more intuitive interface, and looks cooler, but pipe-and-tube-based systems have greater range. If only we knew whether the Golems still fell through the world, or if they fixed that problem...

I think I will go for this best of both worlds approach. If that means having to give up my Lord position, so be it.

I just think that MAgic and Technology can coexist, and I believe that anyone who master it will do it well...

Hence why I'm acquiring power armor. When I'm upgraded to be indestructible, it'll allow me to dive in and stop problems in case my experiment fails.

Just to quash any fears about my experiment(s);

1: I'm well away from spawn, on a tiny island in the middle of an ocean.

2. I plan to create an artificial island (which may float and/or be guarded by a force field) on which a facility will be built. This facility will feature the ability to use a wide range of mob killing things (anything/everything from sunlight to tesla coils). At the heart, will be a node, spawned from silverwood. I will then be able to experiment with producing whatever beasts appear without putting any other player at risk.

However, if you do somehow enter my facility and die, it will be your fault (this will be posted).

Edit: "You" could mean anybody who wanders into the area. I'm not responsible if you do the equivalent of sticking your hand in a blender and then turn the blender on.

Be careful of using Silverwoods for nodes- they create Pure nodes, which means if you want high-flux stuff, they'll reduce the effectiveness of just dumping raw Flux into the environment. Probably not enough to make a difference, but the more you know...

WEll not if you are making a counter measure.
But the best places to create a zombie creator is just to find a darknode which spawns wisps and horrible creatures :/
Then dumping stuff into the flux that is useless.

Yeah, a darknode would be better, but I think being able to position the node is safer (I just imagined spawn being overrun by giant zombies).
