Corpses, it's been ages since I've been on but have you managed to figure out what was wrong with the Matter Fab.? Or is it still lying in a chest somewhere?

It's running, just very slowly...

I got around 10 UU in the 3-4 hours I was out and it burnt through like 30 dual uranium cells in the process, there has to be a better way.

I still don't understand the sudden change in it. One minute it was working fine, the next it was leeching power from our mega-reactor and our breeders, and all three reactors combined couldn't pump out enough to keep it running, never mind anything else.

Only 260eu/t is going into it at the moment, I can't work out how to boost that.

Mine just has three HV-Transformers with a redstone signal on to transform them into extreme voltage, linked to three MFSU's, linked in turn to 2 Ultimate Hybrid Solars each. It's a ridiculous expenditure for UU.

It spawns in Sheldonite ore which has a higher chance of producing the dust than any other ore. The Twilight Forest's biomes that spawn the ore appear more consistantly than those in the overworld apparently, and presumably due to the ease of finding hollow hill/gorges and the height of the world that makes iridium easier to find.

I thought Sheldonite only spawned in the end. I know iridium does not spawn in the hollow hill stalagmite formations (no cheap iridium there!). I also thought iridium spawned at any y height.

Iridium spawns outside of the End, Sheldonite in it. I didn't realise that Iridium spawned at any height though, but pity that it doesn't spawn in the ore fests that are hollow hills. =/

The End seems largely un-industrialised oddly. There's a few portals, but tons of ores all over. Oddly that includes sheldonite in the asteroids right by the main island.

It spawned just below the surface for my quarry.

I remember I got an irridium once while mining out my Zombie grinder... Gave it to Img.

Also- for the Matter Fabs- are you sure there aren't any other machines drawing power? How are you tranferring the power? Have you set the output on your various storage units high enough? (I think there's a way to change the EU/tic output for those things).

Also, you can convert Buildcraft Joules to EU in various ways- I think Steam Turbines are actually one of the best ways to get energy.

When Mojang's servers aren't authenticating people, it usually means you can't get on multiplayer.

Number one way of getting MJ into IC2 EU. Petroleum converter.

I've refined ALL of my ores that I can, and still not emptied my first oil well.

Oil wells do seem to last a lot longer than I thought they would. My first oil well lasted me over two months, running dry just yesterday. (Of course it does depend on how much demand you put on it, but I did have all those advanced bee machines that draw silly amounts of power when in use).

Now I have bees producing my oil. :-)

The boxes show which alvearies are online and the bottom bar shows my oil level in my Xycraft tank.

Currently debugging why one of those boxes is incorrectly reporting an alveary offline.

Just found a creeper spawner in a hollow hill. Was someone looking to make a creeper shard? This thing spawns out five creepers every couple of seconds...

Iustis has one, ILordNoob's making one. I'm justing saying I've found a spawner that pumps them out pretty in case someone wants to increase their shard.

Though it is inside a hollow hill that's full of mobs, invisible tnt and the aforementioned creepers. =P

I tried installing this modpack, but after I play for around 10 minutes or so, my FPS drops to almost nothing, and I have to ctrl+alt+del my way out of the game. It's only when using Feed the Beast. Anyone know why it might be happening? Minecraft runs perfectly smoothly when I run without the pack.

Is it possible to know what enchantment you're receiving when enchanting a book? I've got a chest full of books after spending a good while trying to get Fortune. =/

Locclo, Ftb takes up a lot more resources than vanilla minecraft, so even if you can run the base game fine, you might not be able to run Ftb smoothly. You also might recieve lag due to communication errors or just regular server lag due to the modpack not being as well optimised as vanilla.
