That's not an atomic explosion, that's red matter kicking the fabric of reality in the teeth and stealing its wallet.

Anyway I found some penguins in the twilight forest and tried to move them to the overworld. Now mystcraft book travel combined with ion thrusters and manipulating gravity doesn't quite agree with penguins too well, so I tracked down some transformation powder and made some penguins out of chickens using science the uninformed would call a form of hedonistic magic.

Then it was simply a matter of sciencing the rest of it until it sorted itself out. Many penguins vanished of course; nothing the science of jamming wheat down their throats couldn't counteract. With enough science the square peg will not only fit through the round hole, it'll burn that block of wood to the ground and hunt down its loved ones for getting in its way.

I've run into a situation with my lava pump station and was wondering if anyone could help explain it.

Logged on to find my lava supply not working. I assumed it had run out, so link booked to my lava pump station, in the nether, coords +1272, +2854. Here I found the cobble hut which houses the pump damaged, the pump turned off, and the waterproof piping removed. The ender tank, which connects to said pump system uses the colour combination yellow, red, blue. A combination I've been using since the start of the game. My conclusion here is that someone started using an ender tank of the same combination, found it filling with lava and as a result, turned my pump off in order to use that colour combination.

I checked with Dark and he did not turn the pump off due to lag/any other reason.

Alternatively someone just felt like visiting the pump station and a ghast hit it or something?

The pump uses four redstone engines to power it. There's no way they could have exploded.

Hmm, then I'd have to agree someone's probably taken refuge from ghasts in there and the explosion from that damaged it. But, suspicious not to mention it.

For the future, I'll give you diamonds to make the tank network private. I personally don't like having public tanks...

Well feth.

Managed to lose my quantum legs and boots (plus some assorted other stuff) in this huge unlit tunnel that goes through one of my quarries in the mining age, sigh.

Actually, I think that Redstone Engines can explode when being used to power machinery- it was an update. May or may not be the update Ultimate is running on. But it was meant to make people have to use higher tier engines to power their higher tier machinery- not Gregtech, just the mod author wanting to add a little required progression to the system.

GENERATION 8: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Redstone engines will only explode in two situations.

1: The RS engine is powered but not hooked up to anything.
2: A second RS engine is directly powering the first RS engine.

In no other situations do they explode. In both situations, they will last a long time in red before they explode, and an attentive person will notice it long before-- normally, the RS engine toggles between red and yellow phases, because it passes its energy faster than it can produce it, but when it's stuck in red, it's very obvious, and needs to be rectified immediately.

I've had redstone engines instantly blow up in my face when I accidentally connected them to a geothermal generator's output, but I can't remember if that was tekkit or FTB.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Yes, if they have too much power stored, they'll blow up. That is the number two situation I mentioned.

They will not naturally store too much power if they have no other engine inputting in to them-- they output faster than they input.

To reiterate what I said to Oshunai (since it was probably lost in the dicussion):

I wasn't trying to tell you to do anything or whatever. But you really shouldn't be strip mining in an area dedicated to quarries. Even if it was under my quarry before I put it there (which I can't confirm or deny), it's still kind of crappy. The quarry I have is a few hundred blocks away from your sign (and existed before you started your own quarry there), there was no reason to expect there to be any mined blocks under it when it in an area that, according to the signs in the Mining Age nexus, was meant for quarries.

I realise my mistake now, though when I originally dug tunnels and used my arcane bore manually the area was unoccupied in every direction. If you feel that you lost valuable resources by my old tunnels then I am happy to give you any resources that would perhaps compensate you for your loss.

If you have a concern like this again (or a problem with anything I do on the FTB server) please do not use swear words when talking to me as it comes across as extremely aggressive.

To be fair, my poor mood had nothing to do with you, and I apologized for it in chat.

I don't request you give me anything, Osh. I'm just explaining myself.

I never said I wanted to kill Oshunai.

Or... anyone, really. I don't like PvP on minecraft.

Has anyone claimed the redrock mountain at X=1750, Z=750, and attached wasteland?

Looks like it, the village has been expanded and there's a marble house on the wasteland. But if you do live there, you're pretty much next door to my thaumcraft desert base.

Someone owns that village Melissia, presumably whoever owns the house to the north of it. When I was there it was lit up and had a stone wall built around it. =P

I am in need of an unreasonably large amount of mercury/quicksilver/cinnabar ore.

At least three stacks, preferably more.

Anyone have some for trade?

Using it as a grinding medium. I asked earlier. Already gave her my 55 Cinnabar Ore.

Update on the tower- I am in need of Spruce Wood now, as well as quite a few more Arcane Alembics. I am starting on the Library.

(still need to figure out the transportation system- it might work to simply have a single shaft going up and down, and you just step off at the right level...

FTB Ultimate has been updated to 1.1.1 - however the server has not, yet.

I'll do some tests and see how soon I can update it. Please be patient.
