Grundz, it's indisputable that many of your machines are badly optimised. They've been known to lag the server to the point of unplayability.
Also.they've stopped people from even being able to play at least once.

No need for threats.

Regardless, does anyone have any of that blue ore to trade, the special ore from tinkers construct?

Just because one user may have a decent system, that doesn't mean that every other user does. Lagging the server out because your system can handle it fine means any users that're below those specs are going to take a much greater fps hit. So youknow, don't be selfish, play nice, give to charity and what not.

...I for one liked the Commodore 64. =(

Also before you start on about how they should get better computers, maybe someone should build better machines.

Seeming as it's causing quote a problem, I'll be willing to go in and collect materials from grundz for people who are unable to enter without something bad happening. I've been to his bases many a time and can handle it. So if anyone wants something from grundz just ask and I'll do it.

Has someone been fiddling in my base or have things just been disappearing and changing there set ups by themselves?

There used to be some stairs here that led to the ones going up the side. Now there is one? I only put them in yesterday and now there is 1 left...
Also one of the direction configs on a furnace changed in my automated smelting system which ended up with a backlog and me losing god knows how much metal. I've not touched that in a long time either.

The weird part is, my spare computer, a stock, compaq 8200 (a $350 box), which is hardly a workhorse, runs my area like a champ, my previous spare PC, which was a friggen optiplex 745 (which is less than $150 brand friggen new, it had an old video card in it and some extra ram to be fair, also had little issue with my old area which apparently took people to their knees.
I submit that these folks have issues with their PC's so IDGAF. I'm sorry the public resource dome is too close to my area but it had to be for power concerns, but you can see my area from orbit and the ocean around it is filled with blood, just don't come over here and you're okay. If you need/want to trade i'm more than willing to enderchest you stuff or put it near spawn.

Also: Who's base is built into a hillside with tons of warded stone, an effecient steam system copied from mine, lots of steam turbines/uu creation, a really neat smeltery, 2 ME systems, ect?

Opio: I've had some weirdness with stairs too so it might be that.

Or... you could just admit that your machines are poorly designed, to the point where Dark has had to fix your unfortunate design choices a couple dozen times over the history of the FtB server-- and that's just the designs that were so bad they slowed down or even crashed the server.

Shifting the blame like that seems silly.

You're welcome to the blue tinkers ore in my base, if you think you can somehow survive the mffs with 2000 buckets of backup forton with an ID card bound to you setup in my base, I'm considering this fair warning by the way (incase you dont read the signs)

It just so happens that this particular conversation is about you and your bad machine designs, and your blatant attempts to shift the topic away from your bad machine designs through shifting the topic, ad hominem attacks, and shifting the blame away from the fact that it's your bad machine designs that are causing the problems.

As for your offer, I have no intention of fighting anyone for it, or crossing some stupid obnoxious obstacle course for it. If you're unwilling to do a straight up trade of resources, I'll just keep looking for it on my own.

Steam system isnt really copied from yours. Sort of a parallel evolution there. it used to all feed into one cable, but after seeing yours I flipped em facing up.
And I actually have 3 ME systems... Or rather one primary and two subsystems for iron and uu matter respectively.

I dont mean to toot my own horn, but my base has a good amount of fun features that Im pleased worked out how they did!

Thanks. I have the tools to mine Cobalt or Ardite (the blue and gold metals. respectively, required for Manyullyn, Tinker's Construct's best material) and the tools to refine them. Just need to find the ores or trade for them. Once I have them, it's a 2:2::1 ratio, I believe, of cobalt/ardite ingots to Manyullyn ingots. So one Cobalt and one Ardite ore each in a TC forge results in one Manyullyn ore.

They're nether ores. I think Ardite spawns near the top of the nether, but I have no clue where Cobalt spawns. Near the bottom perhaps? Since it's buggy to make nether quarries, you sort of need to mine them yourself :/ they seem much rarer than quartz.

Unfortunetly he isn't, we worked out it was Gas-khans base he found yours is still hidden somewhere... for now

Im gonna try and make an arcane bore in the nether and see if that works

Pretty cool stuff, i clicked on a book and found myself there, I need to bother you later for some warded stuff, I was trying to scout around but you had alot of armored sections so I couldn't Keeping the steam down to 4 engines (80% liquiduct usage) keeps everything from blowing up.

Yeah I really future proofed the area... Almost overkill .
I actually have a massive conduit buried that carries primary EU, ME storage, and MJ power that is covered in a layer or two of Mazestone xD
It's a surprisingly robust system that can maintain power for several days pending a catastrophic failure above ground. (big explosions, for example )

All still a work in progress, but Ive a bunch of plans for the surrounding areas

Yeah I noticed that, I found that hallway and have something similar but its just cut through rock

On my base I used clear glass as the floor which shows off the machines but I suppose can be confusing, I'd like to do some wardstone/arcane doors and build out the MJ factory a bit at some point.
