@foto- I personally like the Tinker's Battleaxe and Hammer- hammer for undead (it has built in smite, and you can easily add more) and battleaxe for creepers and spiders, because it has built in knockback (and again, you can add more). Though when playing with a lot of mods, the Rapier can be incredibly useful- it has a jump-back feature, as well as ignoring armour- I can kill an Ars Magica stone golem (not on this server, but my own) in a couple hits with a relatively un-modified iron rapier, where it usually takes dozens of hits with more conventional weapons.

Also, if you're just cladding the walls in marble (what for, anyways? That's an odd shape to be 'finishing' something with), and running out, try making some saws and using marble panels instead of full blocks. You get 8 panels per block.

@Minx- dang, that's a little crazy. I'm wanting to try and get a system set up with valves and such that I can manually suck any kind of essentia into any section of my system, for the manual stuff anyways. Also hoping to use the Infernal Furnace and the auto-crucible for ore doubling, though I'm not sure what I want to try and get Ordo from- using lead ingots kinda defeats the purpose, and most other Ordo providers have way too many waste items or are too expensive. Might have to set up a centerfuge system for something cheap. Just wish Saxum still had Ordo in it, like it used to, instead of being pure Terra.

In other words, this is Minecraft, but with a million more levels of intricacy! Automation, jetpacks, electricity.... Its a very much expanded universe!

I use the hammer and battleaxe as well, just was wondering if there was something better.

My plan is slate flooring, and marble cladded walls...I'm ocd I suppose. Roof will be glass about 10 blocks in each side and then dirt with redwood trees in the middle(as many as I can fit in/grow). My mansion/house, whatever it ends up being will be in the middle and a train lead right to the door

Huh. I may have figured out why researching 'too much' in Thaumcraft causes you to get corrupted player data.

There's something called "Warp". Certain research (forbidden research) or item creation (forbidden items) causes this 'warp' effect, which applies debuffs to the player who's done the forbidden stuff. That then crashes your game, because something odd doesn't work with it.

And one of the meta-research things has Warp on it (the research about researching things).

So that might be it.

"Warp" is a Thaumcraft 4.2 thing.

Monster 1.1.2 runs Thaumcraft 4.1.x

The corruption of player data seems to be on Tikka for eating too many beans at once and myself for getting too many "this node has been scanned" entries in my player file.

The pump has been removed and the mob farm only runs if you are not logged in. It must be something else.

I get three seconds and then just lag to the point of almost freezing....just unplayable.

Does the same happen whenever you use your link book to the nether or the nexus - nether connection?

When I went through your portal earlier I didn't have any more lag than normal... ah well at least you don't seem to lag much at the area the book I gave you leads.

And once again I have fallen on my power crutch... oh lava why are you so good? Once I get carbon bees I shouldn't have to do this...

I dunno then, because I go through, and it gets really laggy, may have been a different area, I'll investigate it tho.

Not the area. Whenever I got on, it takes at least a couple of seconds for actions to register. It doesn't via e-tombs book so its the area, and there's really only one thing causing it.

All I can say is, look before you leap or build, and if you are building something like that, post on ere.

I've been trying to get computer crafts turtles to work with the rednet cable from MFR using the bundled output API however in this version they appear borked, has anyone else tried this and had a problem or is it just me?

(it is using rs.setBundledOutput("right", colors.white)

It seems computercraft 1.6x changed the bundled output in a way that requires the bundled cable's mod, MFR in your case, to actively support the computercraft interaction. In short, afaik it doesn't work with any bundled cable in ftb monster. I've seen a workaround for some bundled cable output functionality using analog output from a turtle that gets translated to the different colors using a programmable rednet controller.

Take any amount of it from my ME system in my base, here, north of spawn.

On the server before last (I think- the last FtB I played extensively on), my 0,0 tower was in the middle of the ocean, and so I was making a massive blue cylinder as the basis of it. That looks much like my massive blue tower.

So, FINALLY I am almost ready to put down another portal to the nether on my jungle base. so I can endertank to get power to both my quarry and my buildcraft stuff. Really having some difficulty with it. So, here goes.

I am looking for someone to help me build a redstone engine powered pump into the red red red endertanks, This would go a certain location in my base to power a magmatic pump, and ALSO to my quarry in the mining age. Default size with the periotic cobble framework (Will probably find some granite to protect it).

I can't currently go to the end (graphical/lag reasons) so just need people to set up the pumps etc.

I got Tikka'd!

I found a Mana Bean in the wrong storage location. I didn't want to run all the way to another dimension to put it away, so I ate it.

Game crashed.

I am stuck in a Mana-Bean-Omnom crash loop!

---

May I please have a player file rollback?

Also, Docta, I'll help you set up a lava transfer system.

I don't understand what you need in The End, though.

I am sorry, i had to laugh
Spoiler:

Edit: In my case it got slightly better after i disabled a status effect display mod. Prior to that the game would crash before i could see bits and pieces of the game world. Ultimately it didn't make any difference though as i had to rely on darkinnit to reset my player file.

How do you disable this status effect mod? I've been running around with a permanent Haste II indicator for days now.

I renamed the file ending of [1.6.4]StatusEffectHUDv1.19.zip. I am not sure if that's the only mod capable of displaying status effects or if it's doing anything else.
