So I decided to clear out my old white dwarfs and noticed just how sad a state the mag is in, I removed all the articles I deemed worthwhile (basically anything I'd be willing or likely to read again) anyway, seeing it like this really put it in perspective, I just had to share this. The white bag and pile of wd's next to it are the out folder, while the stack on the yellow folder are keep articles.

If you want to pay for the shipping your welcome to it, it's quite heavy

Somewhere in the region of 100 issues, minus all painting articles, blanchitsu, vampire articles of worth and some rules/scenarios (basically its adverts and hey look at our shiny toys articles in a bunch of mags that have been torn apart)

I did this a few years ago. Threw out (into the recycling) around 15 years worth of WD. I kept a handful of issues about making terrain or certain releases.

They aren't worth the cost of shipping anywhere and my club already has a large stack of them.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

That would be my opinion too but waste not... Although, still love the space hulk terminator and mannfred von carstein painting articles (and the rest that were written in that style), so in the folder they went.

I did the same thing myself a while ago.

Sad thing is. after removing the articles of interest to me from at least 2 years worth of WD's, I was left with less than the page count of 1 new WD of stuff worth keeping.

Very, very sad.

Fighting on with dignity,
In life and death we deal,
The power and the majesty,
Amidst the blood and steel.

What, you kept the Blanchistu stuff? You mean you actually like his scribbly maybe a Chaos beast maybe an inquisitor drawn with yellow crayon "art"?
On topic, I did the same thing the other week, and got pretty much the same result. I wonder how much more (*cough* little) I'd have had if I hadn't stopped buying WD around 2006...?

I do actually, but more importantly I love his oddball conversions. I also found *gasps* a BFG article, with *double gasp* ship rules. 'twas the ad mech fleet stuff, now I want to play BFG.

You should go back far enough to get the complete BFG beta rules, with 4-8 punch-out ships for Imperials and Chaos, along with blast markers, facing templates, and torpedo counters.

Hell, that was probably the copy right after one with a punch-out bunker of some sort for 40K. I know it was the edition with the extra dungeon endzone tiles and rules on how to play Blood Bowl underground, using Warhammer Quest dungeon pieces.

I did this a few years back. My Local FLGS gave me £15 for 150 issues. I considered that a good deal.

At the library where I work we have a "give and take" section for old magazines. I had thought about throwing my old WD out but then left them in that section and they were gone before the day was over. I recommend asking your local library to see if they have such a spot or if they would be interested in starting one.

I put about 500 extra copies of WD up for sale at my shop for 1.00.

When the sale ends in a few days, the rest go in the trash. Years ago, extra copies of WD slowly sold. Not for the last 5 or so years though. The copies I have as leftovers are trash issues, and the good stuff sells out with no extras at GW.

I cut my order way back last year. No more extras.

What's left after the sale goes in the trash. Too much space taken up by by a magazine that doesn't sell for 1.00

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

I'm currently moving over to reading ravage magazine, covers a good mix of different games and actually has some hobby articles that are worth reading.
