Wrapped this one up today. Not a very complex build, but definitely one of my best paint jobs to date. Feedback, commentary, questions, and suggestions for future work are always welcome.

In addition to the composites below there's a "Super Stack" version in the Dakka gallery that I'm totally not posting here.

You bastard! You totally stole my idea!

I really like it, good job on the execution and painting both. I was thinking along the exact same lines to make a conversion to represent the old 3rd Edition special character from Saim-Hann called "Nuadhu Fireheart". He was essentially a special character version of an Autarch (before the Autarchs existed) that fights from a Falcon with a fighting platform attached, ala 2nd edition Eldar. He actually even had a spear, like your Farseer.

You gave me confidence that my conversion will turn out looking "right". Thanks!

Oh, yeah, I'd forgotten about Nuadu! I suspect that might have been something floating around in my mind; hell, I still have my 3rd edition codex for reference purposes when I need ideas for runes and the like. Strangely enough, though, this was my second choice for a conversion: I had planned to just steal the "farseer on a support platform" idea that others here have used, but my FLGS was out of those. I had completely forgotten about the Venom until that point.

In friendly games, I'm using the 3rd ed rules for Nuadhu with my army that uses the "current" Codex, just by dropping his points by 5, because between those two Codexes, Vypers went down by 5 points.

The Venom chassis seemed natural for such a conversion, as it has such a nice "chariot" feel to the transport section.
