Bomb attack

S:7 AP:2 range: -

Fearless

Bomb bots are robots with bombs attached and are usually used to soften up or disorient units before assaulting.

Each unit can have a bomb bot specialist. each specialist can have up to three bots. At the start of each movement phase a bomb bot specialist can deploy his bot somewhere within 2 inches form him. From then on the bot moves like a separate unit of bikes that can't turbo-boost or shoot. When it assaults it rolls charge distance normally. (units can't overwatch) Bots can't be assaulted but can be shot at. Only one bot can be on the board for each specialist. If a bot comes into base to base contact with an enemy model a large blast template is placed over the bot all models under the template suffer a strength 7 AP 2 hit & the bot is removed from the board. If a bomb bot looses all it's wounds it explodes like it was in base to base with an enemy model. If a bomb bot specialist dies or is falling back the bot cannot move or assault.

Why carnt it be overwatched? Why carnt it be assulted? I'd throw my wraithlord at it with glee to save my ENTIRE eldar army. First of what kind of bot is it, like a remote control car, or like a servitor? If a servitor it shouldnt be as fast as a bike, but should be slow. If its a car lower the payload (str 6 ap 3 small blast which only scatters 1d6) and price.

well I guess it COULD be assaulted but then it would just blow up in their faces. They would lose a couple guys and have nothing to show for it.

Interesting idea, but I'd say start with a spore mine as the base and work from there.

RC-XD is written all over it. I see this going under Imperial Guard and Orkz.

Exactly what I thought.
S7 AP2 Large Blast is too powerful. S6 AP4 (maybe AP3) Blast id suggest. You have any thoughts for price?

Also, its way too tough. Make it T4, 1 wound, a 4+ or 5+ save with a 5+ Jink maybe.

It's too resillient for a bomb in my mind. More resilient than many HQ unit's in fact.

yeah

S6 AP3 T4 & 1 wound sounds okay to me. also instead of the 3+ save I'll give it the jink special rule. I'll also make it so any cover save it gets you -1 from it. (it's small)

I wasn't focusing so much on these things but more on the individual rules.

I'm not to sure about points. maybe 20 points to upgrade to a specialist and 5 for each individual bot (to a max of three)
