hey,
been in and out of the hobby for some years, and have decieded to start up a BA army as well as repaint my orks as well as................. ( you know how it is  )
heres how the tactical marines are going,
really have just basecoated and started the basing.
thanks for looking and hopefully giving me some CC

You've got the red nice, clear and crisp there, good work  I'm looking forward to seeing more. Have you got anything else for the BAs so far?

thanks, yer ive got some sanguinary guard , a commander dante and a mephiston that im building at the moment. im trying to make them a little bit more custom , giving them a better base/pose etc. so when i get them roughed out ill put up some pics

i added a bit of highlighting and then gave it a glaze. it turned out kinda shiny (maybe a bit more the kinda  ) and im not sure i like it

If you're after a solid re with shadows and highlights this is pretty good (if you look onto the BA dex you'll see that they have a slightly shiny armour). All you should do is make a mix of your red basecoat, an orange colour and a white to create a bright highlight color, thin the paint down, then use a thin brush with a good point and not too much paint to create edge highlights... This is very easy if you use the side of the brush instead of the tip
But otherwise, I dont see anything wrong with this miniature.
