I'm a BA player and we lost the stormraven. Now every marine army can have stromravens woop de doo. Lost one of the only good things we have. As if grey knights should've had it in the first place. Well Matt ward just slowly steam roll over our effectiveness: stormraven, furioso charge initiative bonus, FnP, and a very much flawed codex that you can't be bothered to fix on the faq

You fool me once I'm mad.
You fool me twice, I don't really like you.
You fool me three times, your officially that guy.

What the...? Why do you think you should of had exclusive rights to the Stormraven in the first place? That was BS. You still have Baal Predators, fast vehicles everywhere, dreads out the wazoo and a demon prince +1 in a man's body. Maybe 6th Ed. knocked you down but sharing a toy that makes no sense in being exclusively BA has nothing to do with it.

Counter-rant over.

Simply raging won't get you anywhere in Dakka, you have to propose a solution to your problem.

BA still have:

Scoring assault marines
Librarians that can take Divination
Death Company
Sanguinary Guard
Blender Dreads
Flying Dreads
At least you have Sanguinary Priests and the possibility of armywide FNP
Characters such as Corbulo and Tycho suddenly became pretty boss
Fast vehicles all round
Baal preds

Stop being so single minded and quit moaning.

Yeah I was pretty upset about it then three things happened, I recalled that GKs had it as well. So that's where it lost its exclusiveness. Then I remembered a piece of fluff, which basically said the blood angels where giving it to test, because of their natural aerial abilities, before it was rolled out across the board. And then lastly I remembered I am a grown man, and these are toy solders.

blender dreads are ap 3 that kind of a sucks . RAS pale when compared to GH , RP and DA libbies can have divination too , arent dreads bad to begin with the way glanc kill stuff this edition and libby dreads cant even take extra armor . FnP isnt so good when its +5 and is on high cost elite choices that are easy to snipe .

the BAs had the storm raven and mefistion for non +2sv targets , the rest of the dex is rather bad compering to the stuff you can take from other dex for indentical builds.

It's a rare instance where the fluff is actually advancing, essentially.

Blood Angels are still pretty special. Hell, they were special enough on their own before the Baal Predator even showed up, much less the Storm Raven. It's not like anything got taken away, even.

Though, I admit, i think most 40K gamers active nowadays aren't old enough to remember "those days", even when that was back around 2000.

Blood angels still have lots of cool toys, I still love the furiosos, it fun to watch them claw their way through armies.

You still have it, its in your codex. They didn't Errata it away.

You haven't lost it, you just lost your semi-exclusive rights to it. Your army is no less effective because more people can use one of your vehicles.
If you're complaining that you have a unit in other codices, then you can have the Storm Raven back, but we'll take our Captains, Chaplains, Librarians, Rhinos, Razorbacks, Tactical, Assault and Devastator squads, Veterans, Predators (You can keep the Baal however), Land Raiders, Land Speeders... Do I need to go on?

Hear Hear!

At least you don't have to put up with the near- useless Psystrike Missiles (unless 6th made them worth having.)

Eh, you could always give back what's not yours in order to have it.

Sternguard (Originally Ultramar Veterans, Became C:SM later on)
Vanguard (C:SM)
Dakkadreads (Originally DA)
Land raider Crusader (Originally BT)
Land Raider Redeemer (Started with C:SM)

And scouts.

But why restrict it to units?

Bolters, power armour, ATSKNF, Combat Squads,..

They all did spring from Codex: Ultramarines (2nd/3rd) after all.

Blood angels have had scouts however, even their own unique blend back in their 3rd ed splatbook.

Hahah brilliant response!

BA have a lot going for them. If you think the Stormraven was the only thing in this army making them unique I would highly recommend you compare it side by side with the other codexes.

Is the thread title a play on words? Like: "I'm Storm Ragin' about the Stormraven!"

Seriously though, this is a step in the right direction. 5 codices for different colours of armor is silly. Just roll them all into one already so we can get updates faster.

Star Trek taught me so much. Like, how you should accept people, whether they be black, white, Klingon or even female...

He won't he just starts threads that make little sense and then leaves them to go. Don't you remember him spamming up the board a few weeks ago? Every other thread was started by him.

I'm more miffed that even Forge World, supposed to be the hobbyists part of the company refuse to even throw the Blood Angels / Grey Knights a bone by opening up the storm eagle.

As a GK player, I would gladly trade the Stormraven for the Stormtalon if it could get Psybolts. That would be sick.

he's proposing nothing, just beginning another Ward-whine when there's actually no evidence Ward had anything to do with it. its a facile argument.

the sky is not falling. Blood Angels have a lot going for them.
