To be fair, Blood Angels have had a good deal going for them since the days of 2nd edition, when they shared a codex with Dark Angels, lol.

I had a Ford F150. My neighbor got a Ford F150. Now I lost mine.

Wait....whut?

Looks like I should stick to my rule of staying out of threads where the OP is too lazy to even spellcheck the title.

Blood Angels haven't lost it any more than they did when the Grey Knight Codex came out, but you didn't hear anyone moan about it then, because the Grey Knights went round mind wiping everyone who mentioned it

This and the OP probably wasn't evem playing so he could cry about it...

Seriously, the Black Templars players don't complain other chapters get the Crusader. Dark Angels didn't complain that other chapters got biker troops or GK get Terminators for troops. Time to wear the big boy pants and play with adults.

I don't know about the Templars, but I'd guess they probably did.

And the Dark Angels players most certainly did complain, very vocally, for several years. And they had every right to. I can't be the only person who had hoped that GW had learned their lesson.

Technically, Dark Angels can't whine at all about other armies getting Terminators as troops; people were fielding all-Terminator armies using the Ultramarines (vanilla) codex back in 2nd edition, including Captain Invictus as a special character. I'm pretty sure the Angels of Death Codex came out after the Ultramarines one, so vanilla marines actually have the oldest claim to Terminators as troops.

And Dreadnoughts capable of having both arms equipped with every Dreadnought ranged weapon other than autocannons.

Psystrike Missiles do damage to any psyker in the game, even a Tervigon with Ironarm and T9 can still take wounds from them. No saves of any kind allowed rocks for killing psykers.

Three facepalms, because the only way to express my feelings towards that "rant" in one facepalm would be a facepalm with a powerklaw.

You didn't lose it, it wasn't exclusive, you have other exclusives. What did Matt Ward have to do with this?

Its still quite narrow. Those missiles are really just expensive frag missiles beyond their anti-psyker abilities. great against psykers, lame against everything else.

I would gladly trade them for Bloodstrikes as that is what the GKs could actually use, but I'm fine without them.

you forgot to add one thing . you both live out of cars , he has more then just the ford , you dont . you had a niche just for you because you were the only one with a Ford like that . now your neighbor has it , so you lost double , first of all he wont need your help[in w40k terms no need for BA ally , if meq want a SR] and your job got a lot tougher [they have a SR and you have a SR is different then just you having a SR and him having one if he takes ally].

I really don't understand why we don't get the stormtalon. But it makes sense to pass the stormraven on. Ah well...

Counterpoint to something mentioned earlier - BA had Vanguard WAY before anyone else, in the form of Veteran Assault Squads in 2nd ed. In my eyes it's a classic BA unit like theDC and shouldhave stayed with us, but hey ho.

No. Space Wolves were the first. And they could have Assault Cannons, Cyclones, and Storm Shields on each of them as well.

Back when it was "squads" not "Troops".

True about the "squads" instead of "troops". I was just categorizing them in modern terms, because it's rare for me to talk to a person who actually knows anything about 2nd ed, because "that was, like, before I was even in school, dude"!
