Subject: Lowest point cost army

A buddy of mine and I played a silly game of "who can make the lowest point cost, force-org compatible list?" with my orks versus his tyranids. I was just curious if there was a way to have anything lower than my ork list which was-
Big mek + 2 gretchin squads for 115 points total 
He ran a prime with ripper squads, and I don't remember exactly how much over my list he was, but I know I had to put a burna on my mek to make it even close to a fair game

I'm pretty sure it's the mek and grots of which you speak.
The cheapest you can possibly do guard is 210.

I think Tyranids come within 5 pts. or so of your mark using a bare bones prime and two squads of 3 bare bones rippers.

Heh, as soon as I saw the title of the thread, without reading a word of your post, my first thought was "Big Mek and Grots." But Dark Eldar win with Haemonculus and 2 wracks at 110 pts. Next closest I could think of was Daemons, with a Herald and Nurglings for 128 pts.
Ailaros - CCS and 2 vet platoons is 190 pts, right? or am I missing something?

Prime + Rippers is 140 pts.

Grey Knights can do 124 with Coteaz + 2 3 Acolyte Inquisitorial squads.
Nids can do 140 for a bare prime and 2 ripper squads of 3 each.

I would say that yes.
DA: Techmarine + 2x5 scouts = 170
BA: Captain or librarian + 2x5 scouts = 250
SoB: Canonese + 2x10 SoB = 315
SW: BL + 2x5 GH = 220
SM: Librarian or Chaplain or Captain or Forgemaster + 2x5 scouts = 250

Is is sad that the smallest population in the 40k universe has the cheapest pt cost options? You can max every single FOC slot for DE, including fortification, for 714pts.

Kinda funny to see DE at the lowest, you would think it would be Orks or Guard. One of these days I want to try to see a tourney that forces you to bring the lowest point list you can and see how good you do. It's obviously an incredibly casual tourney, but still
