I feel like someone has already done this. I started to in a blog about 6 months ago, but stopped for some reason. This is mostly a copy and pasted list from that.
Anvil Industry (Bits / Minis / Bases) - These guys have the best hooded heads I've ever seen. They make GW's look sloppy (then again, I really dislike GW's bare heads).
Armorcast (Bits / Minis / Bases / Decals) - This is an interesting site as I'm always surprised by what they have. They're not a one-stop-shop, but they're definitely the only place to get some truly unique items. If you're a DA, GK, BT, SoB player (or anything else), be sure to check out their decal section.[/li]
ChapterHouse Studios (Bits / Minis / Bases) - The infamous ChapterHouse Studios, known for their lawsuit-inducing conversion kits.
Forgeworld (Bits / Minis) - Everyone knows Forgeworld. The only place making licensed bits, kits, and minis for Games Workshop games.
HiTech Miniatures (Bits / Minis / Bases) - Easily the best place for alternative Characters / Heroes in Terminator Armor (especially if you want them to have wings), IMO.
MaxMini (Bits / Minis / Bases / Terrain) - Great place for backpacks, head swaps, and other accessories.
Pig Iron Productions (Bits / Minis / Terrain) - Just looking at this site makes we want to play Imperial Guard. I'm especially impressed with their multi-part sprues where they mold their injection channels to be used as extra bits.
Scibor's Miniatures (Bits / Minis / Bases / Terrain) - Great Character / Hero alternative models, most in power armor (check base size before you order).
Secret Weapon Miniatures (Bits / Bases / Terrain) - Great resource for basing materials and guard bits.
Studio McVey (Minis) - Great 28mm alternative models for heroes, and a couple interesting Terminator sized models as well.
Puppets War (Bits / Minis / Bases / Terrain) - I come here to drool... seriously, no other bits site has had so many hits from me.
Titan-Forge (Bits / Minis / Bases) - Alternative models for your Deathcult Assassins, plus shoulder pads and tabards for your robe-wearing Space Marines.
Troll Forged Miniatures (Bits / Minis / Bases / Terrain) - Excellent source of alternative Tyranid models, plus some great fantasy miniatures and demons. Cheapest place I've found Green Stuff

Thanks guys, this is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for.
Is it me or does chapter house not have as much as it used to?

Prince August - Bag of 80 Warzone Plastic Miniatures:
These are absolutely perfect as alternative Imperial Guard models. In each bag you get 4 squads of 10 Imperial Army regulars and 4 squads of 10 Bauhaus Ducal Militia, each squad has it's own sergeant and heavy weapon soldier. Buy 2 or 3 bags and you've got enough models to make at least 2 decent sized IG armies. Really good value for money at about 27p per model. Incidentally even if you replace every model's weapon with one from another manufacturer you'll still have saved a considerable money compared to GWs prices. For my WIP guard army I've worked out the cost per squad as being £11.19 and that includes new weapons for every model from Anvil and a 60mm base from Warbases for a heavy weapon team. That's nearly a £7 saving. Given the average size of a Guard army that really adds up.
However as with all old Warzone models supply is limited.

If you're looking for Guard alternatives, and are comfortable with metal, you ought to check out Victoria Miniatures . They're all pseudo 19th century/WW1 stand-ins for Imperial Guard, with suitable lasgun/melta/ CCW options, and loads of bits for conversions or add-ons.
They're more expensive than what most counts-as will be, but they're also of suitably high quality. If you ever wanted to do Praetorians or Mordians, these are the models to get.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

Sorry bud, that other thread us almost useless, it doesn't tell you what line the alternatives are for and.as such, you have to spend hours trawlingthrough each link to find anything, this thread is more usefull as it lets people post up what army or system each link is for, alot more.usefull I'm sure.you.agree.
Thanks for all the links guys, once I get a few more I will update my first post.
