The point of this Thread!
Alfndrate wrote:So this is a little idea I had as a way to resolve 1 or 2 issues we seem to get here in this section of Dakka, with the exception of one or two regulars, there seems to be little activity until a new player jumps into the conversation and asks about a specific master. While those threads are still good, a question we often get asked is "where do I go from here?" Malifaux is extremely fluid in it's play, the same list you take for one encounter might be different than another. This could be due to the cards you flip/draw, the strategies, schemes, or even your opponent's play style. So this thread will start us out, and I encourage anyone else to start threads like this for the other factions
.
Alfndrate wrote:So here is how posts should go in this thread (if you're submitting a list):
[Strategy], [Scheme 1], [Scheme 2]
Master w/Soulstone Cache
Minion1
Minion2
...
etc...
vs
Opponent's Master
Feel free to include more if you want to, but every post that is submitting a list and experience should at least strive to include those things.
Alternatively you could just copy the text output from the Malifaux Crew Creator.
Add in a little BatRep!
Make it as brief or as detailed as you want.
A few things to think about;
Were there any neat tricks that you managed to pull off, or even that your opponent did to you?
Any combos or synergies that were game changers or just caught you by surprise?
Any comedy moments? (Probably a lot of Gremlins for this one!
)
Man of the Match? Or a model you missed from your usual crew and regretted?
What you learnt?
Your next purchase?
So hopefully you get the idea and hopefully we can piece together a decent Tactica of our own, right here on Dakka!
Have fun all!

Feel free to make your own but for ease of use I thought I'd throw this up! Just "Quote" and edit!

Notes
Line in the Sand is one of my least favourite strategies but I have to go with what I'm givin. With this strategy in mind, I selected two Depleted, i figured that Shambling, a Push and a Decent Walk they'd be able to scurry around the table activating Bombs. Taelor ended up being my second selection over Mr Graves as Graves is not yet painted (I don't play unpainted mini's) and I fancied giving her a go. Since I'd have to be agressive getting across the table I picked Stake a Claim to complement this and for something I don't typically play. (I mean I picked a different crew why not scheme as well?)
We talked a bit about his list and strategy during the game so I thought I'd stick it in here, Essentially the Watcher's were going to do exactly what I didn't want them to, go for the evidence. In the mean time he was intending to protect Hoffman by sticking him behind the Wardens. Then he'd activate last and Machine Puppet the Wardens to hand out paralyze. The Pale Rider was included for mop up duties.
Let The Games Begin. . .
Turn 1 (all directions from my Point of View - it's my thread after all!)
A lot of movement up to the centre of the table, the Watcher moved to grab the Evidence on my left flank. Lynch put up The Source to speed up the crew. Pale Rider took to the large hill in the centre of the table. One of my Beckoners tagged him with a kiss to give him Brilliance. Hoffman and the Wardens moved up in a brick formation (So called because it is that subtle). hungering Darkness moved and failed to grabt eh Pale Rider with Heed My Voice, instead I settled by Permanantly gifting Taelor with Brilliance. One of the Depleted flung himself up at the wall of Wardens. Hoffman Machine Puppet'ed down to a single wound and had the Pale Rider do 2 wounds to Hungering Darkness (here after kniown as
HD). under the effect sof The Source, taelor sped on towards her targets (Constructs). the final Depleted moved over to the far right flank to start working on the Dynamite.
Turn 2
The Depleted engaging the Wardens missed with everything, he then pushed backwards a bit towards Taelor. Watcher on the left flank destroyed the first Evidence marker. The first Beckoner blew a kiss at the Pale Rider, tagging him with a wound on Brilliance. One of the Wardens popped The Depleted, who promptly exploded in a mighty showing of destructive force a gave one of the Wardens one wound and Brilliance.
HD activated and successfully cast Heed my Voice on the Pale Rider. He charged in, and left the rider sitting on a single wound,
HD also took this opportunity to heal himself to full wounds. One Wacther moved up the left flank. Taelor decides to get stuck in just making it into combat with one of the Wardens, The Black Joker pops up. I settle for doing 3 Damage and pushing it back with Melee Expert. The unengaged warden shoots and Paralyses a Beckoner and then moves into contact with Taelor. Lynch moves up to the Pale Rider, misses with the Pistol and then Pushes away. Hoffman and the Wardens drop Taelor to Hard to kill. The second Beckoner kisses the Watcher down to a single wound. The depleted lights the dynamite and then pushes and walks towards the next marker.
Turn 3
I lose the iniative but decide to cheat a soulstone to gain it back. The Proximity of the Wardens and the Pale Rider stays put. Taelor goes first (as she's about to die) and blows away two of the Wardens who do not have Brilliance. The Watcher on the left moves towards Hoffman.
HD casts Heed my voice the Warden with Brilliance which comes running.
HD then kills the Wardena dn finsihes off the Pale Riderwith Feast or Famine. Hoffman detonates a scrap counter which kills Taelor and backs away. The Paralysed Beckoner activates giving the Damaged Watcher the chance to fly 14" behind a wall. Lynch hands out The Source but is unable to get the Beckoner into a position to target the Watcher.
Turn 4
I win the iniative but then he cheats it off me with a Soulstone and a 13! The Wacther activates and moves to destroy his second Evidence marker. The Beckoner fails to blow a kiss the other Watcher but fails. Hoffman legs it, the Depleted grabs another Dynamite marker and moves towards the 3rd. The other Beckoner moves to sit near the final evidence marker. Lych and
HD move to start chasing down Hoffman and the remaining Watcher.
Turn 5
HD eats a Watcher, but is unable to tag Hoffmanwith Brilliance. The Second watcher moves tot eh opposite side
fo the Evidence marker from the Beckoner. The Beckoner kisses and kills it, but its Slow to Die ability is used to interact with and Destroy the marker regardless which completes his strategy. (My Bad) To make up for this she moves to my Stake a Claim building. The Depleted activates the 3rd dynamite counter and moves towards the 4th and final. The second Beckoner moves into village to try and reach the Dynamite as well.
Turn 6
The final Dynamite Marker is armed as Hoffman cannot prevent both the Depleted and Beckoner from reaching it.

Draw
Final thought. I forgot that Dead Man's Hand is resisted on Ca not Wp hence me not using it, which thinking back on the game probably could have made things a lot easier for me! The 8-8 Draw was extremely lucky on my part due to a major mistake (or two)
