Hello everyone,

When I first started 40k my first model was a metal Commissar Yarrick model, which as far as I am aware was the second model produced of Yarrick, which is now in Finecast.
Today I bought an older metal Commissar Yarrick model off ebay, in what I believe was his first incarnation.
Does anyone know the production runs from this earlier model, around about what years this first Yarrick model was released? I am incredibly happy with how it looks, and it would be nice to know a bit of the actual model's history.
And does anyone know if there were any other models of Yarrick? As far as I am aware there are the two metal models, one that was redone in Finecast, and that's it.
Anyway, if anyone knows I'd really appreciate finding out a bit more about my model

Thanks

If it is this one:

Then i believe it was produced in the early 90's, I think solegends listed it as 92.

That one came out with the IG codex for second edition and also heralded the arrival of the Lame-on Russ and chimera (and variants upon the hull) vehicles.
The metal Catachan, Cadian, Tallarn, Mordian figures all date from this codex period, too.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

It was out long before the IG Codex. Without even checking, I know for a fact it is from the Rogue Trader era, because there is a picture of it in the 2nd edition rule book. 1992 sounds about right. It isn't quite crappy enough to be from the 80s, it look like a Jes Goodwin sculpt. Probably from the same era as Ragnar & co. Late RT.

1992 is about right. He and Ghaz came out towards the end of RT and were replaced/updated for 3 rd ed around 2001.
