The BPFA is quite a bit different from the SMG. If you get a chance, you should try it out.

Yeah, just unlocked the snub pistol! What a beast, I poped out 6-8 shots before a guy could even fire a bullet also it's real jazzy and looks really cool!

The snub is pretty popular, but I still prefer the regular revolver (with magnum rounds and a thermal scope).

Have you tried the M4X and AK470 variants on the basic Assault Rifle?

yeah, both are pretty good IMO

Mind describing them?

I recall the M4X being a cross between AR and SMG, and the AK470 being a cross between the AR and HAR. But I could be getting them mixed upr o something.

In gameplay they are a cross between what you've said but if the basic assault rifle as an M164 and the HAR as a scar-H the M4X is based off the M4 carbine and the AK470 is obviously the AK47 if you are to compare them in another game.

Well yes, that's why the AK470 sucks, sicne the AK47 sucks.

None of them for me. As for how much GP, probably 5.5k or so. I'm saving up to perm throwing knives, which might work rather nicely with my speed build.

ah nice, im just surviving off packs for now and using my GP for the 200GP pack hoping for the tactical smg

I always just save up to perm something.

Anyway, I perm'd throwing knives, and I hav to say, they're hard to use but very rewarding. Especially when you headshot a guy that's trying to sneak up on you cloaked

hahaha, im buying the packs cause I don't unlock the tat smg until later, and I got it for 7 days in a mission pack and it suits my playstyle very well.

I've always done speed build, and was a bit disheartened once I got out of the 1-10 bracket about how unfun melee only becomes. A couple equipment changes later and im up to like 9.48 speed, and with some practice with the katana and hrv scrambler im finding it fun again.

Also shooting people in the face with a rocket is always fun.

In the past, I often used a 229 hp build, although a the moment, I use a 189 hp build. To be honest, there's not THAT much of a difference in how vulnerable they feel to enemy fire. The speed build feels more vulnerable to suppressive fire and I know for a fact IS more vulnerable to sniper fire (since many people use 200dmg bolt-action rifle builds; that said, both die instantly to anti-materiel rifles). But the speed is more than worth it, when using weapons like the TSMG, SMG, and M4x. Or melee.... or grenades.

That said, I'm probably gonna end up with a 211 hp build once I hit level 36, simply because I adore the looks of the level 36 armor on female characters. Looks so badass.

In comparison, the lowest I've seen was a 156 hp build (Which was lightning fast) and the highest I've seen I think was 255.

I...think I'm at 160, so I'm def pushing it. A sideways glance wipes me out, but man is it satisfying to sidestep left and right as I'm running at someone and have the miss every shot only for me to get in close and whack em.

Also, last night as I was trying out the scrambler, had more than few people tell me I scared the crap out of them when I popped out of whatever hallway running at them with a crowbar.

Speaking of which, I find it horrifically awesome you can equip both crowbars at the same time. Pro league material rightch'ere.

Want to know something pro?

Killing three guys in a row on Seaport, inside the building, by tossing knives up stairs as they're about to run down

Actually I like the throwing knives, it even functions as a regular combat knife in melee, too, as long as I have one laft-- meaning I don't have to equip combat knives (that said, the combat knife mk2 is still better obviously, as is the machette and breach hammer, nevermind the heavy katana).

I don't think I've ever seen someone using the machete oddly enough. I've seen a breach hammer, plenty of katanas, and that's it.

However I hear the machete is a good choice for speed builds.

Then again I don't see many speed builds either. At least speed builds going melee.

I role stealth, using cloak and a medium build with CQB weapons pwns ass badly!

Lol, cloak. I've killed SO many cloak users who thought they were sneaky.

Even without HVR (which the cloak is useless against) it's not hard to spot, especially if you pay attention to footsteps.

As for the Machette, I see it occasionally. It is indeed better for speed builds, because of its insanely long reach (katana is better but it also replaces your pistol and you have to use points to get it each life).

What I don't see much of, sadly, is the Combat Knife Mk2. Which is sad because it looks awesome.

About to hit level 36. Will have to save up for the level 36 armor, since htat's the armor that looks the coolest on female characters

I wonder if there are any groups out there that get together to do this really fast. I'd only care about getting to 50 really.

No thanks.

What do you get from referrals anyway?

Necroshea, I wouldn't mind the guy helping me I'm terrible at this game so it'll take me months to get perm anything. I'm currently just making a few emails and accounts trying to get each milestone as it comes!

Just try to complete mission packs and you should be fine at earning stuff.

It's sad that they reduced GP earnings and replaced it with mission packs, but what can ya do...

I like the mission packs. Instead of having to save up to try something out, you get a lot of stuff to use pretty quickly.

Also, I just noticed they got rid of 1 day rentals. Wtf?

Oh, whoops, sorry. Well, the more I thought about it, there really isn't a point, lol. Suppose you get 50 people in on this, they will have to level to 10 fifty times each for everyone to get the benefit.

The only benefit is getting enough people to play in the same group again and again and again.

that's a good point, having people to do it for eachother. how about us small-time-folk here at dakka dakka help each other out, the camos and even the GP rewards are nice!
