you... monster. >.<

No one in their right mind would charge into that army. Your #1 worry is a heavy air based army, or a heavy deep striking army. No one would dare charge out in the open against something like that without being declared insane, and turtle armies would just get cooked by those drakes. One thing you should worry about is a heavy Assalut Terminator with Thunder Hammer army. The drakes do not get touched, but those Invul saves are a pain to get through.

My only comment is that if you ever go 2k, get another HQ, Aegis Defense Line, and mount it with the autocannon. Beyond that... I think you know best.

(Note to self... Do not play against mK2, unless planning to lose)

Yeah I totally agree , a termie based army would be a good counter.

No long range whatsoever, but your having sucess with this list so the only suggestion i would make to make it stronger is:

1) Drop one unit of plague marines, you really dont need 5 squads. that should save 228 points.

2) give your lord a bike instead of a plaquin. If hes gonna run by himself at least make him really tough and fast. Cant be inst killed so he can hold his own.

3) drop one drake for a unit of 5 MoN spawn. 2 drakes are more than enough trust me and now you can have a t6 unit that can run with the lord if need be.

4) with the extra poins buy a cheap 10 man unit of cultists to sit behind the aegis amd control the comms. They sit back on home objective and let the rest or your army go to work.

i dont have the book with me but the list would look like this

Lord
- mon
- bike
- p axe
- Sigil (recommended)

x4 (7) plagues
- 2 meltas
*Rhino w/ dozer blades

(10) cultists

x2 Drakes
- flamers

(5) spawn-

Aegis w/ comms

i still think you need some long range though

Just curious why you don't consider the Helldrakes as long range? Sure they use the flame template, but they can move pretty far first.

A friend plays a similar list, but with 2 daemonprinces instead of Heldrakes. Its so nasty, but your list looks even nastier.

Str 6 Flame templates don't blow up vehicles. Or take out tougher units like terminators ap 3 can only do do much. Plus at most they will come on turn 2, turn one your boy doing anything but hiding to avoid first blood.

Fire base armies also give you a run for your money, killing rhinos isnt hard and walking sucks, you lack long range fire power.

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!

good suggestions and I appreciate the feedback.

the lord is riding inside a rhino

when drakes come in on turn 2, they can hit any unit on the board. 36+12 + template....its pretty nasty
if vehicles i am vector striking side armor and also I have 10 meltas .
I am not so much worried about long range firepower as i am having to hump it if the rhinos go (yeah first blood is an issue in all games but no army is perfect) . I have 35 fearless marines that have a 33% chance of shrugging off a las cannon shot standing out in the open much less anything else. So the core is rock solid.

The typical missions this army is built for is tournament style, objectives, KPs and quarters ( plusr warlord, first blood and linebreaker included) all in the same game etc. so far its a tough army to crack but I am sure it will get countered and I'll adjust etc. so keep suggestions coming

This is almost an identical army to the one my friend plays,
And its been killing my Necrons every time,
I had no idea what to do against it so I started playing grey knights and bringing lots of squads of termis and regular grey knights in a bastion, also bringing a storm raven,
so far its the only thing that works,
and when I need more flyer support i bring necron ally with a couple small units in night scythes

You put the lord in a rhino, so good job on that. I'd drop a unit of PMs for some oblits, but it really isn't necessary. This list is a beast, Nurgle owns, and you, sir, do Nurgle justice.

I said that because I thought a lord on palaquin can't ride in rhinos. He has the very bulky rule no?

True. A lord on a Palanquin cannot fit in a rhino. When I first read the list my concern was that he would draw fire first out of spite because no one would want to deal with all the PM, so at least getting slay the warlord in turn one or two.

Good info , when I posted my list I had actually made slight changes adding the relay and the palanquin . Have to ditch that before practicing tomorrow , so what to do now with the extra points ? At this point I ditch the ax as well and make him bare bones like he use to be .

So I have a free 55 points , unless I keep it as is and I take 1 unit out of rhino and get rid of rhino, add another Maine and walk up the middle of the field with the palanquin lord ? Hhhhmmmm
Hey how about the dozer blade I'm missing and 5 gift of mutation rolls 1 for each champion ? I'll probably just add 2 more plague marines

I just can't spare the points , I ended up adding 2 more marines , so now I am running a hefty 37 plague marine models in an 1850 list , it worked real well again today .

Plague marine + Drakes seems to be doing real well. We'll see in the next tournament in a few weeks lots of palyers gearing up against flyers .
