Doing lava bases atm from chaos black->mechrite red->red gore->blood red/fiery orange mix->blood red->fiery orange->fiery orange/missing yellow mix->missing yellow

The idea is to make it look something from star wars ep III lava, with hottest in the middle hottest and flowing, but it occured to me I don't have yellow paint.
I don't plan to use any yellow cept for maybe further lava, so it is possible to mix shining gold, or even use little bit of that, or would you suggest that I buy yellow paint?

I know I've been reading somewhere that mixing NNM paints and metalic paints loses its shine, but its still a question can I use the actual gold for final highlights?

Red and Blue to Yellow progressions are critical - they're primary colours that you cannot mix. White and Black, are also essential. Then you look for secondaries - greens, browns, greys.

Rule of thumb; if you need a paint, buy it. If it 'would be handy' think about it then buy it. If you can mix it, buy it when convenient or the 'would be handy' rule applies.
