Subject: Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag (the Golden Age of Piracy)
AC4 has been fully announced (that was fast considering AC3 came out just last year, and this isnt like the ezio "mini" sequels I'm assuming)
Interestingly its occurring BEFORE AC3 since this takes place in the Golden Age of Piracy (Black Beard, etc)
Hey its Assassins Creed with Pirates, how can they mess this up eh? (Huge fan of the Sid Meyers Pirates game btw)
But funnily enough a Black Flag (aka the Jolly Roger most of the time) generally meant pirates were going to take prisoners or they were warning people to surrender. A red flag meant No Quarter! (from my knowledge on pirate lore.....I could be wrong )

I thought to myself while playing AC3 that the ship levels were one of the best things I've ever played in a game. So this is the only thing that could really interest me in another AC game. I am really excited for this, but I'm really disappointed that the next assassin doesn't have a giant beard.

Yea I have to admit I think it would be stupid to not capitalize the ship stuff. Some of that was fantastic (even if somehow ducking reduces the damage of cannonballs!)
Well I hope for Ubisoft that this AC is a lot better than AC3, that game was terrible. The story was so incredible bad.
And I'm not really hopefull now I have seen this new trailer.
Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.
I really dont know where all the AC3 hate is coming from. I really enjoyed it. I mean, I like Ezio better, but I still had a lot of fun with it. And I kept up with all the side quests and managing the homestead too.
The only glaring issue I noticed with AC3 was the part when I was playing as young Connor and I killed a bear with the hidden blades that I had not yet received.

I think AC3 has some of the best mechanics (especially the ship combat)
Though I think the homestead was a little complicated (I want free money darn it, not "Colony Resource Trading Simulator 1776")
Some things in the story did confuse me, I didnt really like how if you breezed through the story that you get shoe horned into the american founding fathers really fast and barely interact with many of them
I still dont really get what exactly happened at the last assassination either
I dont think AC3 is bad, I think its decent. Just a strange departure. I liked Conner more as a Ship Captain than a native american assassin I think I might enjoy AC4 much better. No ties to a silly american war, more independent/personal actions!
One thing I am NOT looking forwards though are Fanfiction crossovers with Pirates of the Caribbean

there are now rumors about Ubisoft Toronto working on AC IV Black Flag 2...
i'm not sure wether this is true, but I do think there will be a spin-off....why else would the game have both a number AND a title, instead of just AC IV
I'm not sure wether that is a sword... it's more like a letteropener, really.
