Subject: Noobie Khador Player, building an Cryx band for his GF. I hope I am making her good force.

I already got the starter set with Deneghra, Slayer, two Deathrippers, one Nightwretch. I have already added Nightmare and Leviathan for a 32 point force. I want to get her her a deathjack, 3 Machine Wraith, 2 Bloat Thralls, and 9 Brute Thralls; for 28 more points to give some flexibility. But I was wondering what war caster I should get her.
I played about 5 mark 1 games, and only played mark II rules twice.

Not much to add now...just know you need a unit of mechanithralls (a popular choice with terminus, I've also seen them with asphyxious3, though the main cryx player I see on a regular basis usually runs gaspy3, mortenebra, or scaverous) to attach brute thralls to, and you can only attach so many per unit. I also haven't seen machine wraiths or bloats on the table. As to what you have, that's a lot of jacks to run for one caster. One of cryx's strengths is the amazing infantry they field (banes, satyxis, etc). In addition, pDenny does tend to spend focus on spells instead of warjacks.
As to what you should get her, start out playing battlebox games against her and slowly add more stuff. Give a description of each caster and talk to her about what playstyle she likes.
Lastly, grab her a skarlock. It's a great support solo and can go with everyone but gaspy3 and morty since they already have models attached to them, and a free spell per turn is pretty nice. Also head to the privateer press forums and check out the cryx community.

Why are you buying so many one one thing? Why not 1 Machine wraith, 1 necro tech, 1 pistol wraith, etc.
Spamming things isn't really effective. Only rarely will you need that many Brutethralls. Ever.
Variety is better. Also, thats a LOT of jacks for most casters. Get her some infantry.

It's a Defiler in the battle box, not a Nightwretch. The items in the box are all very good.
Nightmare is Deneghra's character warjack. It's a good choice in general, but it's especially good with her.
Machine Wraiths are cool, and if you are going to take them, it's better to take multiples. Your opponent will go after them, and they usually die before doing anything. Taking multiples is a good way to ensure that at least ONE gets through. Against Hordes armies, though, they're useless. A skarlock and two pistol wraiths would be a better combo.
I like bloat thralls. Getting 2 is not a bad choice.
Brute thralls are weapon attachments. They attach to mechanithrall units. The most you can attach to one unit is 3. Since you don't have any infantry on your list up there and you like brute thralls, you might as well get a unit. Mechanithralls die fairly easily, but they hit really hard and brute thralls hit even harder. You could take a Necrosurgeon to improve their survivability. Other infantry units worth looking at are bane thralls and bile thralls. (Cryx has more good infantry, I just don't want to overwhelm you).
Deathjack used to be considered by Cryx players to be the best jack in the game. I don't think that's changed much. There are stronger choices than the Leviathan, though. I think the Harrower gets the most love of the spider jacks.
Either of the other two Prime warcasters (Iron Lich Asphyxious and Pirate Queen Skarre) would run this selection of models more than adequately. This is by no means an optimized collection, but for learning the game, not hamstringing yourself with poor model choices, and being able to swap things in and out without losing too much effectiveness, it's pretty good.

Thanks for pointing that out, a Defiler is better then a nightwretch. But I am trying to get use to infantry, I was a Warmachine driven Khaldar army, and just by looking through the cards seems Cryx should have more infantry.

Automatically Appended Next Post: oh ok... well going to go with 3 units of 1+5 Mechanithralls to go with the 3 units of 3 brute Thralls.
DeathJack looks nice too, along with Lich Lord Terminus, to give her some good choices of what to field.

If you plan on using mechanithralls, grab the necrosurgeon or whatever the name of the dude that collects their corpses and brings them back. The only thing better than tough mcthralls is mcthralls that get brought back

NO! Get one unit of Mechanithralls and 3 brutes to begin with.
If she loves them get another unit but spamming anything is rarely a good idea. Usually one max unit with max UAs and WAs is enough.

Thank you. Another voice of reason.
