So wings, tails, etc. don't count as being able to see the thing. Do they count for blocking LoS to other things?
If I had a particularly tall model on a normal size base, and I stuck it right behind a standard bearer with a big standard, would it count?
Similarly, can my Daemon Prince's wings block line of sight to things?

Dark Eldar could potentially enslave the galaxy.
Necrons could potentially destroy everything.
Chaos could potentially slaughter everyone.
Tyranids could potentially eat everyone.
Tau could potentially raise prices on import good from the Eastern Fringe. |

TLOS is TLOS. If you cannot see the model you cannot shoot it.

I don't know about that. The BRB says wings and tails are ignored for balance reasons. You can't shoot a target in their "fluff" but saying their fluff obscures LoS is biased.
It means you could mod all your models to be The Fantastic Cape Masters with Big Square Hats and you can't ever see past them but you can't shoot them in the hat or cape.
I would say if something isn't visible to be shot, it's not visible to obscure. You can read the BRB both ways. Ultimately it's down to you guys, but it's pretty cheesy to have a walking/flying blockade you can't hit.

Wings, tails, etc are ignored for drawing LoS to the model with the wing/tail/big hat itself, but they still block LoS to everything else.

Duke - yet that is exactly how the rules work.
Yes, you could MFA. That has been true in 40k since 3rd edition, yet people jsut dont do it.

Because modelling for advantage is boring modelling, for people that look for advantages in this respect is quite possibly the ones that is worried more about buying the best race + list and glue it together than to remodel and paint them.
Then again, in 40k you dont have that much benefit from it, and neither do you in Fantasy, if its so large it block LOS to a target behind, i am pretty sure whatever they do they want that big thing dead rather whats behind it.

I guess I've never seen it. But I'm not exactly a big gamer. It is odd to me you could basically drag a pillow case behind some vanguards to protect your melee army.

BS based shooting isn't that great anyway, so whats the big deal.

The point of my asking was just because my Daemon Prince, and his wings, are significantly bigger than a lot of other things, and he's usually right up in everything's face.

It mostly depends on the guys you play with. I would not play with people MFA by e.g. adding Giant Wings or lowering their position in order to block LOS and I have seen two people on a tournament receiving penalty points for MFA for DP (along with adding the rule that wings do not block LOS ofc.).

It's the standard model, not MFA.

If you can't see it you can't see it. That goes for magic missiles and various war machines. Doesn't have to be BS, most say as per the rules for shooting.

If you assemble it as instructed. In one case, the model was changed to leaning back a bit and the wings were then placed lower and tilted to the side, pretty much bocking LOS to anything behind him.
