I managed to get another game in at my gaming club and this time played against a dark angel player. I have never played against the new codex so though it would be an interesting challenge. I really didn't expect to come up against the standard of devastation.

Let me know what you think.

Warsaw

good game

I wonder why your opponent didnt't hide Razorback behind LOS.... and why Command Squad wasn't inside. it was obvious what would you shoot at and what your range is... your win nevertheless!!

Last weekend I played similar list (my Eldar with Wraithstar with Eldrad vs DA both standard of devastation and Powerfield generator) that just insane hard to kill. I mean he put Librarian with Generator inside Rhino so that to expand 4+ Inv to a larger model base... smart, and then put Command Squad inside as well. and then it was surrounded by tacticals and Razorback - can you imagine killing it? sorry for offtopic but my point is that with the Powerfield in your opponent possesion it could be different

Next time I see him I will suggest it to him and maybe have a rematch. Sounds like a good tactic

Could be worse, I have been known to put libby with power field gen and command squad with banner of devastation inside a land raider achilles, which ignores melta and lance USR's, plus a 4 plus invul and any roll on damage table is minus 1......

Could make it even worse by putting a Tech marine w/ servo harness and power field generator in the Land Raider with the command squad. You would not be able to glance it to death easily.

You guys make it sound like you can do some really nasty things with the standard of devestation if you just chuck it in a land raider. Haha i would have hated to come across that.

That was spot on target priority. Sucks your opponent just whiffed his saves. However, your playing well was greater than his poor rolls.

I am surprised he just casted through your runes of warding so easily. He lost his psyker to double 1's on perils, but not to 12+ rolls.

Well done.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

Great Report! I'm still interested in seeing the Standard of Devastation with the Ravenwing; twin-linked Salvo, with bike maneuverability sounds unreal.

I look forward to reading the next!

Peace Out!

Really good report. The style of it makes it very easy to read, as does the consistent angle of the photos.

I feel sorry for your opponent though, as he sucked at making saving rolls!
