This is what I was was thinking -

Tsar is general, running as Karl Franz (no flight of course, so I will let opponent know that)

Another hero (?) Maybe make a wl champ a hero?

Battle wizard (this is a yet to be bought model), mounted... (maybe white wolf priest model)

1 units of 15 knights (inner circle), full command...

The kossars have axes & bows on each model & full command. Could make 3 ten man units with full command, or 2 fifteen, or one big 30 man unit.... but as archers, huntsmen, militia? Please advise...

5 demigryph (winged lancers on bears), full command...

So, suggestions so far? My kislev are all on barded gw horse models... So any opponent shouldnt be nit picky.....

Use the Kossacks as HA;berdiers, The lord on bear as unit filler, the General should be a level 4 on light and two blocks of knights. You will want a helblaster and an engineer too.

Straight love the idea, and would love to see some of those Kislevites on the field again.

Would you go Lore of Heavens? If nothing else, Iceshard Blizzard is a good fit...

I realized there is a sc on demigryph from fw, and they have a free pdf! So boris will attach to other 5 demigryphs (bears)...

General will be battle wizard 4th level, ulric mounted model, lore of heavens....

Maybe borgio should be grand master (lord) and wizard will be reg hero wizard on barded warhorse....thoughts?

The level 4 would serve you better on light. You NEED a BSB. GIve him the Armour of Meteoric Iron and the unit he's in carries the standard of Discipline.

That is a great suggestion! I will make the borgio model, who is a captain for 88pts be the bsb...113pts + the points of the meteoric armor. The ic knights will get sod...

I don't know that a mounted Empire character actually needs the Armor of Meteoric iron. Can't he get to a 1+ without even digging into his magic allowance?

Full plate+barded steed+shield? Then spend your magic items on whatever. Dawnstone or ward save are good options.

That is true, But I don't really rate Empire mounted characters unless they're on pegasi/are grand masters.

To me, an Empire BSB is always better off in greatswords as they don't have to pay extra for stubborn. And can fight.

But looking at his established list, the only foot unit the BSB could go in would be the archers... and would then be rapidly left behind by all the cav units.

BSB (empire captain), barded warhorse, full plate armor, charmed shield (2+ ignores first hit), the white cloak (2+ ward against flaming, otherwise 5+) 132

Maybe do away with archers, priest, hero on foot? Add 12-14 pistoliers? An all Cav list? =2500 pts!

I wanted to keep this army as "medieval russian" as I could... No firearms....

Although Kislev does have Streltsi in the fluff (I think mordhiem? Cant remember source) who use Halberds and Handguns (the halberd makes a nice rest for the handgun)

REAPER DIRE BEARS. These are "heroic" 25mm scale, aka 28mm. Notice I have not fully pushed the lancer down on the bear, and it is still perfect scale! Anyway, thought I would share for those looking for bears...
