Hi there =)

I am painting a squad melee termiantors and i finished the sergeant today. I would like to have some feedback on the paintjob etc.

I am using Dark Angels Nemesis Knights as models, for i like them better than the standard terminators. WAY better. :>

I like your coloration, and I think that you're totally right that this series of models has a much richer flavor than standard terminators (who are, to be fair, more like a blank canvas intended to have flavor added TO them). I think the monastic look of the Dark Angels can work equally well for the Blood Angels. However, I think you should do some work on that chapter symbol. I don't think it would take you too much work with a file and some green stuff to turn the symbol into the Blood Angels symbol, as opposed to just using the Dark Angels icon and painting it red. I think that you would find the look of the models improves dramatically. If you don't trust your greenstuffing skills, you can always just trim/file the other icon away and leave it blank (or put a transfer on it).

I agree. The paintjob is solid, but the iconography should be changed to match the BA iconography.

That big DA icon on the chest is a dead give away, maybe greenstuff a tear on it (blood with wings is pretty cool) or just remove it altogether man.
Also that shield although not a big issue can also be tweaked. Also that mace looks a bit off to me for a BA army, these guys are into blood so maybe something more sharp?
But really nice idea for ze army, very original.

Wow...I absolutely love the red armor! Definitely a different hue of red than the normal BA color....real nice!

I am absolutely TERRIBLE with green stuff The chapter symbolis indeed a problem, i agree. But removing would be boring and the "stickers" are....cheap. I will think about it, though.
I was happy that the iconography on those models include many wings and guys with robes, since it perfectly fits into the BA iconography. just think about the Sanguinary Guard Chapter Banner aka Sanguinius. So, because of this i had hoped nobody would look too close at this one unfitting symbol

@Novelist47, thanks. :> I actually paint this BA army in the Blood Ravens colors, simply because i love the dark red and do not like the colorful helmets of standard BA squads

I really like those models a well. I also like the darker red you have achieved.

Paint looks good, I also have to agree on removing the DA stuff though, and maybe even changing weapons? The Flail and Power Maul's they are carrying are pretty "exclusive".

I don't know how you would go about tweaking the sheild without greenstuff, but weapon wise look into the swords and axes that come with the sanguinary guard: lots of BA iconography + you can find them on bits sites fairly easily!

The shield, painted the way it is, is fine for BA (in my opinion.). The chest con is a pain to get rid of, but required if you want to keep up the BAness of it all.

Great mini though, I love those knights and to see one painted up in my favorite chapter's colors is pretty awesome.
