So a while ago, a was getting into Mini-wargaming, I was into Warmachine since it looked cheaper to start up. Sadly the store that had it disappeared so I could not get into it and got into Warhammer 40k and fantasy, since I found that to be popular in town and had some armies I found that I still play to this day, and yes still play to this day.

But, one day, I was going through some of my stuff to clean out, and lo and behold I found my Starter set of Protectorate of Menoth and a Unit of Temple Flameguard I bought to start up and some P3 formula paints since I have not heard of Citadel paint (which I still use to this day). Now, for my little project to paint up my Protectorate of Menoth, I am going to use both my P3 formula and Citadel paints to use the resources I have on hand. I am thinking of doing an alternate color scheme for them? Can that be done or do I really have to stick to what is shown?

And the Basecoat I got done with Kreoss.

Nothing requires you to use the official color scheme. the PP forums have tons of armies with alternate color patterns.

I use GW paints as thats what I have. My Menoth scheme is Scab Red(plate armor/cloth if unarmored unit) with Shining Gold trim as the primary colors. For secondary cloth colors I have Warlock Purple and a 50/50 mix of Warlock Purple and Enchanted Blue(which gives a nice royal purple color, good for officers or other important models)


And props for attempting white, its frustratingly hard to paint.

I know, the white is a major bitch to do sometimes. Although it is a basecoat of white, I am debating I want to make it light-bluish or Full-on white yet.

And I use mostly GW paints as well, particulary because it has never really gone wrong for me at all, although P3 formula is alright, but a bit inconsisitient with the texture a bit.

So I decided to go with a lighter blue to go with the white for the layer. Not what I was expecting, but I like how it turned out in my honest opinion.

So since I had large amount of time free today, I took it and decided to finish up the model. Granted this is my first real attempt at a Warmachine model, but I wanted to put some effort into it.

My guess it this would make it easier for gameplay due to the 180 degree arc rule? Guess that makes sense.

There are templates floating around that you print out and put the model on to mark the arcs.

And yeah, its pretty important. You need to know front and back as well as directly ahead.

Granted I only have the Quickstart rule for MK II but I think I have the first edition of prime around the house to use. Now my question is what to paint from the Menoth starter set now?

Sorry for not posting recently on here, I have been finishing up painting a few other things. So I moved on to the Crusader, since it was the biggest thing.

Now I only really have to wash and drybrush the Crusader, as well as base it and I should be done with him.

And one I finished up earlier today. I finished the Crusader already, but it was not letting me upload the damn picture. What a pain. :/

So now since my computer was not being a dunce and let me upload the picture, here is the finished product of the Crusader! Now that is 2 things down from the Menoth starter box, and two more to go for the light Warjacks!

Now I started on the revenger (sorry for the drop in quality but the camera I am using now is being a pain in the ass and won't let me upload from it :( ).

Alright, so I got my main camera back to normal, so the quality problem should be gone now.

Now to do the fixins to the Revenger and I will be done with it.

Now with the Revenger finally done, all I have left from the Battle box is the Repenter. Although I am going to be happy when I have it all painted, I am going to be a bit sad from it as well. :(

Sorry for not updating it as much as I used to guys, but I had a few things come up in my life (sad I know ). But during that time, I managed to find a unit of Temple Flameguard I though I had around the house and made my 15 point battle group up. Playable? Yes. Going to win me many games with this build? Most likely not.

So after a little while, I thought I update this with a little bit of news I found out. So I found out that I can use Steelhead units in my army (yeah, I am still new to this game, playing over a month now ). So with this, I plan to convert them a bit by buying some Knights Exemplay Shoulder-pads off the PP website. Also, I may or may not be getting Choir come tomorrow, but if I do, I will build them up and post some pics for you guys!

So here is the Steelheads that I need to convert later on with this little update of sorts.

So it was a no go for the Choir today (since I think the guy was busy, as he told me, so he was not able to make it today). Other than that, I got myself the Paladin (Rather easy to put together with it just being three pieces and that). Also got some of the conversion done for the Steelhead Halberdiers to make them more Menite looking. Not that strong with Loincloths, but I try and attempt the best I could with them.

Sorry for an absence in posting on the blog, but I was starting up summer work now. Good thing now is with my first paycheck I was able to get some paint and primer so I can get back to painting again! Other things will be posted later on that I am still painting up, so enjoy this Paladin I finished.

Alright, I apologize for a lack of posting here, and neglecting it. Kind of forgot about it so I just let it kind of die. So I am going to try and post up my work for Warmachine mercs and Menoth when I can now. Also some pics of my work throughout when I did not post on this blog. Also, the camera pictures change due to getting better with it over the course of the year.

Alright, this is not all what I painted up so far due to get points for a league, but this is what good amount I got done.
