Holy Terra

I heard about many rivalries between various Chapters and former Legions, good example being Ultramairnes/Word Bearers, White Scars/Raven Guard, Salamanders/Marines Malevolent etc...

But I didn't read or heard anywhere abotu Chapters/Legion who go alongside well and are considered brothers for life. The only examples I know are Imperial Fists and Blood Angels ( because of Battle for Terra where both Legions stood and died together ) and Salamanders/ Raven Guard/ Iron Hands ( because of their Great Crusade joint tactics ).

Are there any other examples of this?

The universe has many horrors yet to throw at us. This is not the end of our struggle. This is just the beginning of our crusade to save Humanity. Be faithful! Be strong! Be vigilant!

Gulliman apparently had his opinion of the 'Dauntless Few' in 'Know No Fear' - Dorn, Russ, Sanguinius and Ferrus. Those he could rely on, no matter what.

Space Wolves and Dark Angels. They may keep up the friendly rubbing and swordsmanship challanges, but they will fight side by side every time, just as Jonson and Russ did.

Think of something clever to say.

I've heard from somewhere that ultramarines are pretty tight with the deathwatch but they are not really a chapter and I could be completely wrong.

Legion of the damned show up to help out other chapters but I don't know if they are necessarily more friendly with certain chapters.

I'd imagine that any of the UM descendants are in pretty tight with one another, as well as the UM Chapter itself. That's 60% of the modern Chapters right there.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

It depends...

The earlier the founding, the closer they are, I think.

However, some, like the Mortifactors, freak the heck out of the smurfs.

There's also that little bugbear of the Astral Claws...

Don't know where you got this, but from what I understand, the Iron Hands hate the Raven Guard and the Salamanders, mainly due to their retreat from battle during the Drop Site Massacre on Isstvan V.

Which tells you how codex failed (in a way)...
Bring back heresy legions please......

ADB: I showed the Wolves revealing the key weakness at the heart of the World Eaters; showing Angron that his Legion was broken and worthless compared to the others; that he was the one primarch who couldn't trust his own warriors, and that they didn't care if he lived or died; showing that loyalty to brothers and sons is the heart of success for the Legiones Astartes, to the point even Lorgar makes a big deal out of saying the World Eaters and their primarch were massively outclassed by Russ, and Angron was too stupid to see the lesson Russ had sacrificed time, sweat, and blood, to teach. We're talking about a battle the Wolves won, by isolating the enemy general through pack tactics, and threatening to kill him, without a hope of defending himself. It was a balance, 50/50 - Angron overpowered Russ, and the Wolves were losing ground to the World Eaters; but Russ and his warriors had Angron by the balls, and barely broke a sweat. They won, no question. Lorgar even says: "The Wolves won, meathead."

Dorn won’t help you either. He’s too busy being the Emperor’s groundskeeper, hiding behind the palace walls. The Wolf is too busy cutting off heads as our father’s executioner, while the Lion holds on to his secrets, and has no special fondness for you. Who else will come? Not Ferrus, certainly. Nor Corax either. Even as we speak, I suspect he flees for Deliverance. Sanguinius?’ Curze laughed cruelly. ‘The angel is more cursed than I. The Khan? He does not wish to be found. So who is left? No one, Vulkan. None of them will come. You are simply not that important. You are alone.’ Konrad Curze to Vulkan

Well, the closest relations are definitely between the Dark Angels and their successor chapters, the unforgiven.
Second closest would be between the Blood Angels and the Sons of Sanguinius, the various successor chapters.
Thirdly, between the Imperial Fists and their descendants, while the Ultramarines would be a lot more distant to their successors thanks to the strict interpretation of the codex.

So they have us surrounded? Excellent, now we can shoot in any direction we want!!!

Ultramarines and their successors are actually pretty close. Calgar is held as the perfect example as a Space Marine by the primogenitor chapters, the Ultramarines form Honour Companies from themselves and successor chapters, and the Minotaurs bad mouthed Calgar to some successors and gak went down. Minotaurs are now banned from Ultramar.

Any made up chapter --- with any other made up chapter

I know Imperial fists are tight buddys with the crimson fists, black templars and white templars

As stated above,.. the Dark Angels and their successors are the closest of all.

Heck,.. any Loyalist legion that has succesor chapters are close with eachother i guess..

The Armageddon chapters that aren't Flesh Tearers and Black Templars get along well. So that's Blood Angels, Salamanders, and the dozen or so other Chapters that lent a hand (no doubt with some exception I've forgotten that no doubt someone will remind me of...)

Marines Errant and Lamenters, altho they did engage each other during the Badab War both loyalists and separatists were irked that neither chapter went 'all the way' with both letting the other go with little more than a bloody nose.

Salamanders and Executioners. Its was the Salamanders who talked the Executioners into surrendering in the Badab War and the Salamanders have taken over custodianship of the Executioners homeworlds until their penitent crusade is complete.
