So when I started I was told that necrons can take up to 9 flyers,
But I was reading the BRB about dedicated transports and it says that the unit it is dedicated to, is the slot it uses in the FOC
So, I just wanted to confirm

you can take 6 night scythes as dedicated transports for warriors or immortals to a total of 6 troop choices
you can take 3 doom scythes as heavys
and you can take 3 more as dedicated transports for deathmarks as elite choices?

total 12 flyers in 1 army? is this correct?

You can, yes. It's important to note though that if everything is in reserve at the end of turn 1 you will lose the game.

Or rather if at the end of the turn if you have no models on the board you lose.

You can indeed. The Flying French Bakery is pretty hilarious to see, and not even slightly hilarious to play against i would imagine (luckily I have never had to experience it). But 12 fliers + their embarked units would probably not leave you with enough points to have something survivable on the board for Turn 1. If you have nothing on the board at the end of any game turn, you automatically lose.

That won't work as you require your unit to be able to deep strike and all flyers lost deep strike in the FAQ's.

You could just deploy the warriors and not keep them on the Flyers.

3 units of 20 warriors are not going anywhere, anytime soon.

You don't need to be inside the flyer to say its that units dedicated transport do you?

I thought a squad of 10 warriors could just start on the board and be like, "Yo, my ride is on its way sucka!"

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And on that note, if I have a unit of 20 warriors, and they start on the game board, can they still have a night scythe as a dedicated transport that they don't start in, even if theirs too many of them to fit in it?

Unless the codex limits NS to being taken by a unit of no more than 15 warriors; some codices (DE come to mind) have such limits.

You actually have it wrong, those numbers are only accurate for under 2000 points.

At 2000 point and above you get a second FoC. So you could have up to 18 Night Scythes(12 troops and 6 for Deathmarks) and 6 DooM Scythes.

Of course at this point you are getting to absurdly high point values.

Yeah I calculated it out, in order to fit 12 into the FOC it would be like 2100 points with minimum sized units and no HQ

so it wouldn't really work anyways...

The all flyer list has another issue, namely that if you have no models on the board at the end of turn 1 you atuomatically lose.

Since flyers have to be in reserves and can't get on until turn 2 you will automatically lose unless you deploy something(and what you do deploy isn't annhilated on turn 1)

Not really an issue as:

Plus with cover and a high chance of night fight, usually something will be able to survive one turn of shooting if you really need it to. Just make sure something is out of LOS
