I just popped over the PSC site to check something and low and behold it appears they’ve just released the 15mm M3 Halftrack. Not seen any news of this elsewhere so it's looks like they’ve snuck it out. Apparently the British (M5) version will be out in time for Salute next month.
Also the 15mm M5 Stuart will be out in May with options for M5, M5A1, M5A3 and M8 Scott howitzer.
No pics of the sprue or final product though.

Oh man, this is great news. I will load up in these at salute if they have them there.
I'll also take the 20mm versions too.
Does anyone know if PSC will have a sales stand at Salute?

I wouldn't bother waiting for the carriers. Currently PSC do the 1/72 carriers at £12.93 for three which, extarpolating from their other products, will probably translate to ~£17.50 for 5 in 15mm scale, i.e. £3.50 each. Battlefront currently do them for £8.50 for three which is cheaper (£2.83 each) and the groups of three are more useable in FoW. PSC haven't got any additional options on the 1/72 sprue either.
Maybe when release an upgrade box it will be better value for money for large support groups but for the moment I would go for the Battlfront models before they realise they are pricing them competitively.

I had a chat with Will at the Battlegroup South show last year about the possibility of 15mm Bren Gun Carriers. He said they would come out at one point but they are very small and simply shrinking the 20mm sprue would make the components far too fiddly and prone to breakage, so they would have to be totally redesigned for the 15mm scale.
I'm really not that bothered. FIB make Bren/Lloyd Carriers at £10 for 4 already, less if you get them from a web based discounter. Hard to see PSC being able to make them for cheaper than that.
No idea about the 15mm Brit Infantry though. It does seem odd especially as the 1/72 versions are already long out and there would be no issue simply shrinking them down as they have done for the other nations.

These minis don't help my desire to build an Allied force one bit...
Slightly off topic but are mech companies still the all-rounders they used to be in 2e? Or have they fallen into more of a niche in the new edition? I ask because a likely Allied force for me would be mechanised infantry from the US 2nd Armoured.

Well PSC have just updated their site with the following tidbits:
New Spraypaints and M5 out for Salute
1/72nd M3 halftrack and 1/72nd M5 Halftrack are scheduled for May release.
15mm and 1/72nd Stuart M5A1 kit should be ready in June. Unfortunately, we could not fit the M8 option on the sprue so we will be doing a separate M8 and Jaloppy kit (not a conversion kit - a full kit).
Work has just started on the 15mm Cromwell kit.
Expect to see in the short term: US heavy weapons, 1/72nd Sherman M4A4, 1/72nd Sherman Firefly, 15mm and 1/72nd Churchills, 1/72nd 251/D variants kit.
Nice to see Cromwells finally in the pipeline, I'll finally be able to play those 7th Armoured in Normandy games. Shame the M8 will be a separate kit.

I picked up the Allied (British) box of these at Salute and started putting them together last night. I have to say I'm very impressed with them.
Although they are in more components they go together much more easily than the BF ones and look allot crisper.
There is a slight difference in length (2-3mm) and a more noticeable difference in width (2mm). With both sitting at the approximately the same height.
All in all a nice kit with plenty of options.

Well M5's arrived today. The are essentially identical to the M3 kit except for the minor cosmetic differences. Which is no bad thing as the M3 kits goes together beautifully.
My only minor gripe is that the British crew is identical to the US crew in terms of poses, but with changes to the uniform. Again this is no bad thing, but bizarrely they haven’t changed the weapons, so the passengers are clearly carrying American guns. On the riflemen it makes no major difference at 15mm, you have to look very closely to notice they have M1’s and not Lee Enflields, but the NCO is clearly holding a Thompson and not a Sten. Like I said a minor gripe, but I guess I had to find a fault somewhere!

As of rite now i got the BAttllefront tracks and the Point of Contact ones.So no real big hurry on theese. But rite now me and another player are building up 4th Armor and 2nd cav.
What i would like to see is some cheap Chaffees.

Yeah Chaffes would be useful. I think the Stuarts are due next month. After that the upcoming 15mm kits are Cromwells Churchills and US infantry heavy weapons.
By the look of it PSC are concentrating on stuff that featured heavily in Normandy. Understandably so as that’s by far the most popular period Wargaming wise and I don’t think the Chaffe saw action till around November 44.
Hopefully PSC will move onto the later war stuff soon.
