I think everyone here would begin by telling you to first propose a list you like, and then everyone can help you refine it. There is no über-list in Infinity (although mine tend to suck big time) it's really a matter of finding your play style, something that doesn't feel contrived for you, and then make allowances for situational stuff.

Just so you know, I'm also at the bottom of the totem pole, so to speak, but once Loki, Blue Dagger and Von Skyfury get into this, you'll have good advice flowing. But yeah, make a list first.

What models do you actually have? Then it will be easier to suggest lists using the model you already have. You will also find a bunch of lists in the Nomads forum over on the official site. http://infinitythegame.com/forum/index.php?/forum/19-nomads/

I have the starter pack, extra zeros, both boxes of Zonds, 2 Modertators, 2 Intruders, a box of Morlocks, I know im forgetting something.

I am ordering a few more things today so I am willing to get what is needed.

I am not sure where to start with a remote based army. I sure do need something strong. I am a newer player and im getting my butt handed to me by stronger armies.

I appreciate any suggestions and any insight as to how to run the army.

The word strong is subjective in Infinity. You might make something you think is strong but someone can tear it apart if you don't use it right. Make a mistake with your deployment, send the wrong guy for the wrong job, etc. If the object is to just kill you can make some pretty good killers but that army might not be the best for a mission. Nomads have a lot of cool tricks you can do like a lot of Guided missile death or total hack attacks.

What sort of lists is it that you are playing against/ which factions etc? Some units that are a nightmare for one faction to deal with are easy meat for others and vice versa. So knowing what you are playing against will help with unit suggetions. From the list of models you have if you are wanting to run remotes then i'd probably get an interventor, as cheap as most factions basic hackers but one of the best in the game.

I hate to say this - I am not sure of factions. 1 is which ever faction has 'Croc Man', Another uses a ton of Spawn tokens, another uses robots.

For ex - last night I ran a simple army:

3 x Morlocks
3 x Alguicil
2 Intruders x-visor
1 Mobile Brigada

By 3rd turn I was boned. He ran spawns that could AD drop, some crazy jumping duded who moved across the board on his turn 1 and killed me down to 5 guys, etc.. I need stronger guys and better tactics. These guys are veterans of Warhammer. They have their stradegies down.

The major flaw in that list is massive lack of orders. I'm guessing you list was something like...

Nomads | 9 models

Morlock Chain (7|0)
Morlock Chain (7|0)
Morlock Chain (7|0)
Mobile Brigada Lieutenant (43|0)
Alguacil Combi (10|0)

With a list like this you only have 6 orders to work with in your pool greatly limiting your tactics. The snipers, while cool, have a short range weakness and two of them will eat up too much of your pool. Going off of what models you have listed I can take a guess at what you own and would suggest this...

(proxy the alguaciles as moderators)

Nomads | 10 models

Morlock Chain (7|0)
Morlock Chain (7|0)

Yeah, I'm not too sure Zonds are necessarily "the right stuff." For all comers, after looking at the army builder.

Don't these come on large bases, too, which means a much bigger footprint? They're also a lot of points for something quite comparable to a infantry model, imho.

I still get my behinds handed to me after many, many games. I lose half my army on first turn, more than not. And being good at 40K doesn't necessarily translate to Infinity, trust me. I can hold my own at 40K.

ARMY CODE: Army Infinity v.3.0.

You would need to proxy the interventor and tsyklon but it gives you a list with the models you have that can be fairly agressive. There is a point spare as well so you could swap out one of the zeros for a tomcat.
Both the remotes have 360 visors so give you good protection against AD troops dropping into your deployment zone. The tsyklon can be used agressively as it is fast, has good firepower and decent armour for a remote. It also has climbing plus so you can attack from unexpected directions. Put the reaktion zond with the intruder and watch them hold down a flank all on their own. If you have them in one corner they can hold a flank and protect your deployment zone at the same time. Then you have the zeros who can either be used agressively attacking from camo, possibly supporting the tsyklon, or defensively to deploy mines to slow down your opponents. Then the interventor and alguaciles stand at the back trying not to get shot!

Nice list, man. That's what I need with my TAG, a 360 visor... although I do have a remote that has access to it...

It has a couple of cheaper remotes in the list that let you mark targets for the vertigo. I dropped the sniper intruder to an hmg to save a couple of points.

This looks awesome!

I do need 1 Msv2 or 3. That was the idea of the x-visor. So much camo going up against me? Any other modifications?

If your camo is the Ariadna kind... plan on having much more than one MSV. As soon as it is spotted, it'll get smeared across a wall. With the wearer somewhere among the bitz.

Am I correct - not all of these models are availible?

Just to forwarn you as someone that commonly plays a lot of remotes, they can be tough to play well. They can't go prone, can be hacked, and dodge at PH2. So while fast and cheap for what they do they have major drawbacks.

They also dodge direct templates at -12 (can't dodge them, usually) due to the normal -6 for DT weapons and the -6 for Remotes dodging penalties.

So watch out for chain rifles and heavy flamethrowers.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Just a note there, you can "dodge" the template, but you can't avoid the damage. the -6 from a template weapon doesn't prevent your dodge, but rather is used to see if you take the hit or not.

Template fired
Remote dodges with PH 2 (8-6 for REM dodging penality)

Remote rolls a 1. The dodge is successful and it can move 3" however it takes the template hit because of the Template -6 mod.

That said, if it's a template weapon, you should be shooting the little bugger back in the face since it'll be a normal roll.
