I have been recording all the episodes. So far it is really great IMO. As a history teacher, I even teach about the Vikings, I find it very interesting. I can't help but constantly fact check on my iPad as I watch.

Well it's historical accuracy is a bit hit and miss.

No, because I nuked the Iroquois off the map while they were still in the Medieval era.

I've enjoyed it. Started out rather slow, but it is building up to be more exciting. Defiantly not HBO quality, but would rather see more of the historical dramas from History than the endless amount of Ancient Alien, lame "reality" tv shows coughpawnshopcough or their conspiracy theory shows.

History Channel use to be awesome, even in the era of "H is for Hitler".

Now it's full of BS and edutainment.

So far it feels HBO quality. the only thing I think they would add is more explicit sex scenes and have them more frequently.

Acting quality and camera quality is no where near HBO's.

The costumes and props have all been top notch.

Really? Aside from a few moments with the Earl and King Aella the acting never jarred me, and the camera quality doesn't seem to be all that out of line with GoT or Rome. Though admittedly I'm not a film connoisseur so what do I know.

Aside from Vikings finally portrayed with only a thin veneer of cheesiness. I'm all for an increase in cool MEdieval/Dark Ages historical dramas done to a high quality comparative to most television.

I fell behind after the first episode. I felt the beard quality was decidedly sub par and the axe fighting was weak.

Few things are more satisfying then having modern battleships when everyone else is in the age of sail.
