Looking good Mackem, i'm also a fan of marines looking all battered and weathered. Not generally a fan of tan coloured marines but you've pulled it off great i think. Decided on a name? They could be descendants of Black templars who were were put on a crusade that was so important and would take so long that a High-Marshal of the BT decided he had to form a new chapter, it's not like the BTs are short of marines anyway! Just an idea, looking forward to more.

All great ideas guys and I really appreciate all of the advice and feedback.

think I have chosen a name...... Brazen Templars.

I am working on a couple more right now but its almost 10pm in the UK and I have work in the morning. Ive almost finished another couple of tactical marines and ive started to work on a librarian. Hoping to finish at least the 2 tactical marines tomorrow and will get some more pictures put up as soon as possible.

Any ides on what colour I can paint cloaks on these guys? Normally I would give them the bleached bone treatment but it will obviously be too close to the armour colour so I need another colour to make them stand out. I have a few command models with cloaks as well as my librarians and a sword brethren squad.

Again, any feedback would be brilliant guys

If they had sand bases you could call them "Arabian Knights"

Ha ha very good mate

Im afraid my name has been chosen already though. Im now looking for advice and ideas about what colour robes would go with these guys? Im well on with painting my librarian but im trying to find a good contrast colour for the robe.

Hey Mackem, i think black robes would contrast well with the tan coloured power armour, looking forward to more pictures mate.

I'm sure it's already been mentioned, but the weathering is awesome. Also loved the facial details on the Commander.

They will be coming soon mate, ive just about finished my next 2 tactical marines and im well on with my librarian. Going into GW on Friday when im off work so hoping to pick up something like a Predator or Vindicator.

Thanks for the suggestion for the robes, I have trouble with painting black because of the hightlights etc, may go for dark grey.

Hi guys,

More pictures as promised, sorry about the delay in getting them on here but I had an accident playing football a few days ago and had to have my fingers strapped up.

On another note, I played my first game of 40k since the 2nd edition (so 20 years maybe!) and I beat the GW staff member so I was quite pleased with myself. My Terminator squad was mauled by 2 packs of chaos cultists but then my assault cannon guy wiped them out and the in the following turn he took out his Helbrute before the 2nd of my combat squads (minus the heavy plasma gun guy who blew up through overheating!) mopped up the rest

Hi guys,

As a bit of a change from painting tactical marines I started working on a librarian and I just couldnt stop until he was finished. I know librarians are normally blue but for the ideas I have for my chapter (Brazen Templars) I decided to paint him in the chapters standard colours so I hope you all like him

Nice, I really like the wear and tear you've applied. I would have like to have seen a different background color for the photos though, something that would contrast better with the color of the power armor. Still, nice chapter!

Hi mate , love the chapter !! Its very similar to mine here -

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/505804.page

The Contemptor is awesome and the HQ choices look pretty damn good in the "non-standard" schemes too , I'm in the process of some HQ pieces , I'm gonna colour the shoulder pads or kneepads the "codex" colours with the rest Desert yellow.

Name wise how about Templars Errant , Templars Faithful , Storm Fists , Storm Templars ?

Great work mate keep posting !
