Thought I'd post what I've done to magnetize a couple of Cyclone Missile Launchers. I'm using standard SB/ PF terminators from the Dark Vengeance box set. I'll be magnetizing a couple of TH/ SS terminators in a similar manner as Deathwing has that option. This allows me to field just about any configuration of Deathwing squad that I want with Cyclones.
I drilled straight down through the roof of the top of the armor (which I'll putty over later) with a 1/8th inch bit. I used super glue to hold the magnet in place (the center bulge that holds the head of the armor serves as a handy spot to rest the magnet on). I then drilled very lightly into the bottom of the cyclone, just enough to dig out the shape of the magnet in the interior sides of the struts. I glued the opposite magnet into the space between said struts.

Those are 1/8th by 1/16th of an inch. Due to the small space between the launcher and the body of the model, you can't quite pick up by the model by the attachment, but they're strong enough to not let it fall off during standard play. What's nice, is if you turn the launchers their sides they grip onto each other, making them easily stowable together in a generic troop slot in a foam troop carrying tray. On my Deathwing Banner bearer where I did the same thing, as the magnets sit flush against each other, you can pick up the model by the attachment (with fully sculpted base, too) with ease.
I got them off Amazon.com, likely the next set I'll get is from Magcraft, as you can get quite a few more for the same price ( http://www.rare-earth-magnets.com/) as well as a few of a larger size for bigger jobs.

Yep. Just need to find the right size. Too large and it won't fit. Too small and it won't grip strong enough.

While you are at it, put a magnet in the top of your speeders for typhoon conversions. I did this with the old metal ones, should be easier with plastic.

That's not a bad idea right there. Unfortunately, Deathwing accessories tend to be painted bone white while the Ravenwing are all pure black. Makes for a bit of a clash visually.

Wow!! I did the exact same magnetization to the exact same DV models and cyclone launchers on Monday when my 3x1.5mm magnets came. Too uncanny! I went further and magnetized both right arms also and took some of the icon "flags" from the Veterans box and glued them on to a small left over piece of finecast "block" and magnetized it so I can cover up the top hole when not using the launcher.

Starting "anew" - 5000pts - oldskool models
Slowly but surely - almost 2500pts?
Small but taking their vitamins - 2500ish?
daemons roar - 3000ish ?
Oh fliers - how thou hath ruined the game |

Hah! Nice. Typically I just putty over the hole. When the launcher is off you can't even tell there's a magnet in the model, especially once painted. Just make sure you put several layers of varnish (I dullcote, gloss cote, then dullcote twice more) to insure that rubbing doesn't eventually wear through.

For the speeder typhoon launcher its not too tricky to glue a bit of sprue across the inside of the hatches and mount magnets to the plain hatch and the launcher to have them swappable
Another pair of magnets on the nose weapon, and a pair on the gunners arms and you have all the speeder variants possible.

One advantage of the top mount is that it's an easy retrofit. My speeders date back to the 3rd ed box (well, 2/3 of them, The guy in the background of the shot is a 2nd ed metal one) They were glued together long before all the options became available. But a careful hand with a drill, and they are ready for a new age.
And for tose who aren't comfortable with drills and magnets, a little ball of stiky tack will keep the cyclone launcher up there.
