This Gobbo was a very tricky customer to deal with and objected strongly to the first two paint jobs I tried, but the third time was the charm and I'm very happy with the Space 1999 feel of the final result

The mould box for Philip Hynes' brilliant Goblin bust being made from lego today at Ainsty Castings. There will only be 20 of these cast... number 1 will go to Kev and number 2 will go off for painting, The remaining 18 will be sold for GoblinAid





it's brilliant that this will be cast, but I fear that with a limited edition of 18 I won't be able to afford one (bad for me, but good for Goblinaid & Kev as it will pull in more cash)

a surprisingly simple little sculpt (the smallest Goblinaid mini I've painted so far) but he looks really cheeky and cheerful once painted, so I'm please with him

How long are these available for?

No decision has been made

my guess is at least a couple of months after the final set of figures go on sale (probably in the next week or two)

but I guess it'll depend in part on how much time and effort Paul at RPE feels he's able to put in since he's not being paid for it

(so if they're still selling, and Kev still need support and Paul feels he's got the time and energy to spare they might be around longer)

Got my order of The Fantasy Ones (pack 4) and The Last Ones (pack 7) though the post yesterday and they are nice crisp castings as usually

I'll give a special shout out to Chaz Elliot's Monkey Goblin (GA34).

This is a really cool sculpt that does not show as well as it should in the photograph, think Monkey the TV show, the Goblin is standing on a floaty cloud and I love it

Nice! I'd like to see a scale shot when you get it; it's hard to tell how big it is there.

I got my limited edition bust today so for those who were wondering how big it was here's a scale shot together with some other Goblinaid minis



The bust itself is about 105mm high and comes in 3 parts (the ears are separate)

also included is a resin display plinth to make it look even cooler (although you'll need to pin the two together yourself

Well the project has now finished with a big flourish

(I need to get a bit of thick brass rod to attach the bust to the base, but I want to give it plenty of drying time before I handle it to do so)

Ordered a bunch of gobbos and they just arrived here, I have to say the casting on these is brilliant and overall it was a pleasure to participate on this project.
I will now gift my friends with some gobbos.

I'm a little worried that mine, which I posted that I ordered on 9/26 above, haven't arrived yet... things almost never take this long to get to me from the UK.

It will have been a full month this weekend...

Have you had a shipping notification (I've had one for all of my little shipments) ?

If not I'd email RPE just to check what's going on

otherwise I'd guess wait a bit more (I believe US customs was not operating normally during the sequestration and they were concentrating on perishables like food so it could have been slowed down by that)

I ordered my gobbos on the 8th, they shipped on the 11th, and I got them like a week later. So I don't think customs would be to blame.

Okay, I just sent them an email... I did get an email that it shipped, on Oct 4th.

Got a prompt, excellent reply. Will give it another 2 weeks to arrive before asking for a replacement.
