Would the optimal Daemonzilla list be one that a few powerful FMCs or would the better method be trying to cram as many DPs into a list as possible? Also, which Chaos God is the best type for Daemonzilla lists?

A Quality List:

HQ

Lord of Change - Mastery Lvl 3, 2 greater rewards, one lesser rewards (Staff of change) = 305

Lord of Change - Mastery Lvl 3, 2 greater rewards, one lesser rewards (Staff of change) = 305

5 Nurglings

Daemon Prince of Tzeentch - Armor, Wings, Mastery Lvl 3, 2 greater rewards, 1 lesser reward = 355

Daemon Prince of Tzeentch - Armor, Wings, Mastery Lvl 3, 2 greater rewards, = 345

TOTAL = 2000 Points

Quantity list:

HQ

Keeper of Secrets - 2 greater rewards, 1 lesser reward - 220

Keeper of Secrets - 2 greater rewards, - 210

TOTAL = 2000 Points

For the first list I chose Tzeentch because his DPs are the most expensive but can yield the best results. All 3 of the DPs' powers will be Biomancy, giving me a 50% chance to get Iron arm. Coupled with good rewards rolls, they should be unstoppable. The LoCs will be spamming divination, though their S8 staffs means they won't be slouches in combat. The Plaguebears and Nurgings have just one role: stay alive.

For the second lists I chose Slaanesh since her GDs and DPs are the cheapest MCs, and with the 3" extra move during running and Fleet, they can get across the board pretty quickly without the use of wings. The Nurglins are just their to fullfil FoC requirements, this is not a strategy list, its all about bum rushing the enemy and assaulting. And with 9 MCs on the board, it just might work!

second list is pretty nasty. Can you strip the upgrades and come a 10th?

The 2nd list is no good. You have no scoring troops. This means you are going to have to table your opponent outside of Big Guns. It is not going to happen consistently.
Drop the nurglings and a prince or 2 and get some troops.

You're right, I also have no anti-air unless I get REALLY lucky with the gifts.

Well, turns out you're right. If I get rid of one DP, I can replace the nurglings with 4 units of ten plague bearers. Still pretty nasty:

HQ

Keeper of Secrets - 2 greater rewards, 1 lesser reward - 220

Keeper of Secrets - 2 greater rewards, 1 lesser reward - 220

Keeper of Secrets - 2 greater rewards, 1 lesser reward, - 220

Drop some plague bearers for pink horrors.

In 5+ area terrain plague bearers can g2g for a 2+ cover and pass 30/36 saves

Pinkies have a 3+ reroll 1s after g2g and reroll 1s and pass 28/36 saves

G2g in ruins
Plagues 2+ cover 30/36 saves passed
Pinkies 35/36 passed

You're really light on troops. Don't bother with nurglings, and diversify a bit with pinkies and plagues.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

I would drop something to get wings and 1 greater gift on all of those slaaneshi DPs. This way you can get lash of despair on all of them and have a decent amount of AA.

You want to limit the amount of turns you can be shot at. If your on foot your not getting into assault until turn 3, as even with a good run distance your only going

Turn One
6" move
6.5" run

Turn Two
6" move
8" assault

This means your going to have a 24.5" threat range turn 2. While thats great on some boards, on others, like hammer and anvil it can mean that you wont be in assault until turn 3, or possibly even turn 4.
It also means some of your MCs will be in assault on turn 2, and others will be dragging along on the following turns.

Flying MCs are rarely ever going to be not in assault on turn 2. Your threat range is the entire board -- especially if you don't shoot and run 2d6"

That's a pretty good point by labmouse, but the question is does the quantity you get from foregoing to wings make up for it? 10 MCs at 2K...man...thas'a'lotta wounds.
