Does anyone know if there are any giants out there bigger than the Forgeworld one?
I seem to remember that TTG did one a foot tall back in the day (80s) but cant find a thing online.

I don't know how big the FW ones are but Bane Beasts do some great, and big, monsters. They have several in the area of 13cm tall (or 17 if you want to count the arm about ones head).

http://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/miniatures/banelegions Might want to browse that, most of the models have a nice little thing on the box telling you exactly how tall they are.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

Thanks, i was already aware of most of that range.
The Forge world model is claimed to be 8.25 inches and unlike most of the big stuff is not waving a weapon overhead (like the Bloodthirster) so that would apear to be its actual height rather than heighest point of the casting (Bloodthirsters actual height is about half what is quoted) however i find both the older and current versions to be terrible looking-one has a pin head and looks like a zombie the other has a big pumpkin head.
As usuall the FW one is overpriced even if it had been a nice model, the original Citadel giant from the early 80s is better but not great and very expensive second hand.
What im really after (more from curiosity than anything else) is to find out who makes or made the biggest of all , having had a look online there is no trace of the TTG Giant which was like a foot tall viking warrior (they also had a massive Dragon) which i suspect was probably the largest metal production giant.
Anyone have any home made/converted Giants 8in plus???

Scibor have some good sized models, but I'm unsure if any are giants really. Maybe worth a look.

Not in the size im looking at, but they have a nice stone giant that would look good in a Nurgle army.

There really is no limit on how big you can go. If you want bigger, go with a larger scale and add in scale details to provide a size reference. A 1/6 scale viking makes for a covincingly huge 28mm giant, especially when he is standing on top of a crushed 28mm wagon with a couple of figures running in fear on the base. Give him a string of human skulls like a pearl necklace and maybe a slave girl in a cage on his belt that he makes sing for him from time to time.

Dont get boxed in but what a company is saying something is...there are a lot of options, you just need to define what you want and then make it happen.

Totally agree with you, yesterday i did some putty work on a 4 and a 7in giant that i am converting from toys/action figures, at the moment i have it in mind that i might pick up a second hand action man (GI Joe to the Americans) and unleash a putty frenzy on it-probably cost £5 to do and be bigger than FW. You Americans as usuall have far more options available at a reasonable price-e-bay is full of resin viking figurines that have fantastic detail 12in plus but cost more in shipping than the item (still cheaper than FW in most cases).
I am though still very interested in what is out there and what people have made themselves so anyone else please way-in.
