My question is for you salamander guys out there: Is Warpstone Glow literally Snot Green? I never finished my sallies (not by a long shot since I'm packing around 10k points for Armageddon games, and oddly still need to purchase a couple of things) and wanted to start to paint them again. I can't stand non-conformity when it comes to these sorts of army lists, so I'm not talking "pretty close". I'm talking no difference, just a rename, or can't tell if the figures are more then an inch from each other they are so slightly different.
If they aren't the same, does Vallejo, P3, or Reaper make a paint that is closer to Snot Green? Please don't use this as an opportunity to dump on the paint itself, I'll figure it out. I'm only worried about shading. I figured with how popular Salamanders got after Vulcan was made a character, someone would have to know.
Thank you

I appreciate the link, but that really doesn't answer the question. Im looking for first hand experience to learn from others experience.

Well vallejo game color range was a very close match to the old citadel line, so vgc sick green would be your best bet. I have no experience comparing the new citadel colours to either the vgc line or the old gw paints.
But if sick green won't do, you'll either have to spend a fortune buying old pots off of ebay or strip your current army and start over.

Sick Green from Vallejo Game Color just about exact same color as Snot Green... I just compared my 15 year old painted Snot Green base-rimed figures vs my recently painted Sick Green base-rimed figures. If you put them side by side they are almost the exact same. In fact now that I think of it, the difference might be from the sealer.

lol Tarthenal. Wasn't gonna strip, but I wanted as close as I could get if warpstone wasn't a direct translation. Thank you for the comment.
Thank you very much Narse for the comparison. I will go get some bottles of Sick Green (like 5.......just to make sure I don't run out and they decide to change THEIR f...ing colors). The other colors are all stuff I can get by on, but that vibrant yet medium toned green sold me on the color scheme way back when I first got some Marines (before He'stan. I was Salamander before they had "cool" rules lol)

Coat D'Arms paints ARE the old GW paints, if you wanted an exact match.

I bought some warpstone because of that comparison chart and it doesn't hold up. The snot green was a green with a bit of a gold hue but this warpstone has a darker almost blue tinge to it. Thinking it was a bad batch or settled (so soon?) I got 2 others months later. They still look blue compared to my Snot green Sallies.

I only mentioned stripping due to the above comment. The vallejo line is not an exact match, but very very close.

Really. Might have to check that out. But I am a bit limited being in Hawaii as to what I might be able to purchase without envoking atrocious shipping costs.
